Three sets of footsteps made their way down the hallway, and Lisa was already opening the door before her sister could even knock. She ushered her inside, along with Jisoo and Jackson, and Jennie climbed off the bed and wandered over to listen to the plan that the hunters had concocted.
"Okay, so I'll be in here with you," Rosé told Lisa, all business as she dumped a bag on the table and started pulling out a range of weapons. "I imagine you'll be staying here too, Kim."
Rosie looked at Jennie with slightly raised eyebrows, taking in her sister's pyjamas and he gaze flitted to the bed for a second, before returning to Jennie's face to take in the stiff nod. "Okay. Stake or gun? Or crossbow?" Rosé asked, lining the weapons up on the table.
Jennie reached for the gun with a snort of laughter. "Yeah, somehow I don't think wood is going to affect a human. And what kind of idiot picks a crossbow when they take fucking ages to reload?"
"This kind of idiot," Jackson piped up, flashing Jennie a smile as he hefted his own crossbow.
"A pointed piece of wood can be very affective if you're determined," Rosé muttered defensively, picking up the metal plated piece of wood. Lisa's eyes widened with worry as she took in the sight of everyone arming themselves.
"Jesus Christ! We're not trying to kill him, Rosie!" She exclaimed, reaching out to grab the stake and letting out a yelp of pain and dropping it as the silver burnt her hand. "Shit!"
"Fuck! No! Do not touch any of this shit, Lisa. It's all plated in silver," The blonde said, quickly reaching out to make sure that Lisa's hand was okay. "And I know we're not going to kill him – but he doesn't know that. He probably knows he's working for a vampire, so we'll just scare him a little. Maybe a few threats."
Lisa frowned but didn't argue, and Rosé looked at Jennie expectantly. "Right, um, so I was thinking that Jisoo and Jackson could wait in your apartment. Cover him from two angles, if that's okay with you."
Jennie frowned slightly – she didn't like people invading her personal space. She didn't trust that Jisoo or Jackson wouldn't rifle through her things and report back to her mom – the paranoid part of her even considered the idea that her mom had put them up to it – but she quickly agreed. Anything to help Lisa.
Five minutes later, Lisa nervously found herself sat around her table with her sister and her girlfriend, and as the three of them sat there in silence, she felt the tension build. Lisa hadn't exactly openly admitted to Rosé that she was dating Jennie, even though she hadn't denied it when Rosé had questioned her, and she knew that things were about to get awkward very fast.
Almost as if she could read her mind, Rosé fixed her gaze on Lisa and raised her eyebrows as she leant back in her chair. "So ... you two are ..."
Jennie stiffened in her seat, so tense that she looked like she was about to make a run for it. Nervously going to fix her non-existent glasses, Lisa cleared her throat and dropped her hands into her lap, fidgeting with her fingers as she tried to come up with an explanation. "Well we- uh, we are ... friends?"
Rosé snorted, rolling her eyes. "Right. Friends. Jisoo and I are friends too."
"I knew it!" Lisa triumphantly exclaimed, and Rosé and Jennie gave her an exasperated look.
"Lili, the entire fucking company knows your sister has a thing with Jisoo Kim," Jennie snorted. "There was that whole thing with HR."
