CHAPITRE DIX | 10

THE ONIS HAD CIRCLED AROUND THE GROUP starting their biding of the Nogitsune and while some, mainly Natalia, were experienced in fighting it was settling in that they may not survive this attack. The young girl swung her staff with all her might and began to tango around the makeshift battlefield on the school grounds. All while blocking back to back hits she couldn't help but grimace from the bad feeling emerging in the pit of her stomach.

She could hear the struggling grunts from her peers as she fought alongside them, her eyes shifting around each person to make sure they were okay, still alive. While the others fought, Scott and Stiles had used this as a perfect distraction to help Lydia out. The pack was slowly becoming outnumbered by the Onis. "How do we stop them?" The Summers teen heard one of the wolves ask, "You can't!" Kira's mother yelled back." She couldn't help but roll her eyes at them, like hell they can't. The teen swung her staff against an Onis' sword while the end wrapped it's way around the steel blade shattering it into pieces.

Her grief had quickly turned into anger the moment she had stepped into the school with Noshiko. She was using that strong emotion to help fuel her fighting. The very action had had caused the Nogitsune to glare in annoyance, Natalia's presence was quickly becoming an issue he needed to get rid of, so he sent more ninja towards the dark haired girl. "Nat, look out!" An arrow had whizzed past her and embedded itself into her attacker causing light to explode all throughout their body before disappearing.

The archer became the imposter's newest target catching Natalia's attention. "Alli-" Her words cut off as soon as a sword made it's way through her classmate. It was as if the world had stopped spinning, the only background noise belonged to the banshee scream of Lydia Martin. Allison Argent was dead and she had died protecting a girl she barely knew. Natalia's shaking fingers rose up to cover her mouth as she quietly sobbed watching her take her last breaths in the arm of her first lover. Allison continued to reassure Scott despite the fact that she was slowly fading away, "I love you, Sc-Scott McCall."

With the death of the young hunter all Natalia could think about was that it was her fault. Had she just done her job correctly the youngest Argent would be alive. It was supposed to be her there in her place...but instead she stood here. She should've died and saved the teens the heartbreak of losing a close friend, saved her father the pain of losing his only daughter but instead there Natalia stood breathing. It made her feel like shit and that shit made her angry.
