16th of Frostfall, 4E 206, Whiterun

Yngvar awoke on yet another cold night in Skyrim. The fire had gone out once again due to the strong winds reaching through the holes of his small cabin in the forest outside Whiterun. He got up and sat on his bed. He looked outside. The sun was still down, but he knew it was almost morning.

He looked over his shoulder to see his wife, Karsten, huddled in covers. He gave his covers to her, in hoping that she would stay warm. He got up and put on his clothes, still looking at the horizon. Another cold day of work, thought Yngvar.

He had recently became a merchant, traveling to other cities in Skyrim, but not receiving much profit. He grabbed his goods and took one last look at his wife right before he left. He closed his eyes and walked out the door. He began walking down the small path.

Behind him, two bandits snuck into his house without Yngvar noticing. He knew something was wrong when he heard the piercing scream of his wife. He dropped his goods and ran up the path and broke down his door.

He walked in to the bandits beating Karsten to a pulp. Yngvar reached for the first bandit and through him against the cabin walls. The second bandit let go of Karsten to find a sword in his face. Yngvar had pulled out his Nordic carved sword.

"I'd be getting out of here if I were you," said Yngvar in an angry yet calm tone.

The bandit looked at the door.

"No, I'd be getting out of here if I were you," said a mysterious voice behind Yngvar. He turned slowly to find a glass sword in his face, and to see a man in glass armor.

"Now put down your sword and you won't be hurt," demanded the man in glass armor.

Yngvar looked at the man like he was stupid. He swung his sword at the man only to blocked. They began to fight.

Yngvar was trying very hard to attack but was being blocked every time. Once he was tired, the man in glass armor began to attack. Yngvar barely blocked most of the blows, but got sliced right on his cheek.

The fight led outside into the cold. Yngvar was trying desperately to get a hit, but he couldn't. After a long fight, Yngvar was tired and began to slow. Suddenly, when everything was lost, Yngvar was stabbed in the stomach. The man in the glass armor kept his sword in Yngvar's stomach, and bent down to whisper in his ear.

"This'll teach you not to mess with the Skeever, you fool." The man in glass armor pulled out his sword and Yngvar fell to the ground. He felt his life going in and out. As his blood stained the snow, his wife was brought out to see her husband laying there, dying. She screamed and kicked but was knocked out by a punch to the face from the man in glass armor.

Yngvar got one last look at his wife, before he saw it, the place that many could only dream of.

Sovngarde.
