As I was making my way to the bathroom, I accidentally bump into a tall man with brown curly hair and green piercing eyes that gleamed down at me.
"Oh- I'm so sorry." I said, feeling out of it completely.
"In a rush now, are we?" The beautiful man...
"Amaya, get your ass over here!" My cousin Shanti yells out due to the loud music playing in the background.
We were at a casino. We go to casinos like every other weekend since my father is a wealthy businessman. He loves to gamble more than anything, and by some miracle he has never lost more than $5 from his pockets.
Since Shanti and I were at a casino we were both dressed up, looking sexy as hell. I was wearing a dark red velvet dress with a laced back while Shanti wore a similar dress but it was a dark blue shade instead. We both owned the same pair of heels so we paired it with our dresses over FaceTime and we ended up loving the finished look. I kept my hair natural, only blowing it out lightly prior to leaving my house, and Shanti straightened her curly hair, allowing it to look longer than usual.

I make my way over to my cousin and am slightly shocked when I see her holding shot glasses.
"What the hell are you up to Shanti?" I ask her with a small giggle leaving my mouth.
"So much shit went down today, so I thought we would chat over drinks." She replies nonchalantly.
Shanti wasn't just my cousin, she's my best friend. We were practically sisters at this point. Shanti and I grew up living in strict households so we were never allowed to hang out with many people, so having each other was the best it was going to get. The best part was that we're only eight months apart, which allowed us to become so close within a matter of seconds from meeting each other. Shanti plays a big role in my life, I wouldn't be half the person I am without her and I bet she would say the same about me.
"Shanti I-"
I get cut off by her, "Amaya, please. I'm begging you, I really need to forget about today. I may or may not have made a huge mistake. Well, I mean, was it worth it? Hell yes. Do I regret it? No, not really. But I still feel awful." She tells me with a bit of worry starting to sound in her voice.
"Okay first off, I was going to say yes because today was a shitty day for me too. Secondly, Shanti you've been cheating on your husband for a while now. Maybe you should feel shitty." I say but she interrupts me again, "no Amaya, get this, I found out today that he's cheating on me too!" She says, now with enthusiasm lingering in her voice.
