Jared walked through the empty halls of Wilbur's apartment building. He had to see Wilbur, just one more time. He stood in front of Wilbur's door, holding the flowers Wilbur had gotten him. He knocked, waiting for an answer. Jared had to realize that he couldn't be with Wilbur. He couldn't make Wilbur happy. He wasn't good enough... He knocked again. The door creaked open, and Jared saw Wilbur standing there. Jared quickly hugged Wilbur, holding him tightly. He never wanted to let go. He hid his face on Wilbur's shoulder, staining his shirt with tears. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... Wilbur..." Jared couldn't choke out much. He felt Wilbur's arms wrap around him, helping him relax. He closed his eyes tighter. Maybe if he stayed like this, he could die here with Wilbur. That's what he wanted. He wanted to die in Wilbur's arms. "Let's, uh... Let's go sit down. It's cold in the hall..." Wilbur spoke. Jared didn't want to let go. But he did. Wilbur led him inside, and to the living room, where they sat across from each other. Jared felt cold again. He couldn't look at Wilbur. He felt too guilty. What could he say to make things better?
