Chapter 12: A Painful Memory

'So, what made you decide to go?' Sebastian asked after they ordered their food.

'I've been wanting to venture out and I found that this is the best opportunity to do so while I spend more time with the man I love.' Iona smiled

'Well, I'm happy for you. And with us spending more time together... It's really a good decision.' He scrunched his nose while biting his lip.

'Why are you so hot when you do that?' Iona laughed.

'Here you go guys. Enjoy your food.' The server said before leaving.

Sebastian looked at Iona and smirked, 'Why? Does it turn you on?' He chuckled and took a bite of his food.

'You are something.' Iona laughed and started eating.

'Hey, I want to ask you something. But please don't take it the wrong way. I'm just curious.' Sebastian put his fork down and looked directly at Iona.

'Babe... You can ask me anything...' She smiled.

'Wait... Did you just call me... babe?' He smiled.

'Maybe. But I don't know what you're talking about.' She smiled shyly. 'So, what's your question?'

'Oh, yeah the question. Do you want to have kids in the future?' He took another bite of his food.

Iona nodded, 'Yeah. Why?' Iona finished her food.

'I was just really curious. Coz I saw how you played with Matthias' kids and I know you're going to be a great mother someday.' He smiled and finished his food.

'Thanks, Sebby. How about you? Do you want kids?' She threw the question back at him.

'Of course. I'd love to have little Sebbys and little Ionas running around.' He smirked as he looked at Iona. Iona choked on her drink. 'Are you okay?'

'Little Ionas?' She laughed nervously.

'You don't want to have kids with me?' He pouted.

'Excuse me, can we get our check please.' Iona flagged down a server as she started to panic.

'Bubs, you're sweating.' He looked confused at first but when Iona ran outside to get some air, he immediately paid and ran after her.

'Bub!' He called out as he round the corner. He saw her standing in the shade under a tree hidden from the main street clutching her chest. He ran to her and hugged her. 'Hey. You're alright. I'm right here.' He pulled her head to his chest. 'Just listen to my heartbeat and match my breathing, okay?' He felt her nod. After ten minutes she started to calm down and pulled away. She looked up at Sebastian who is now looking really worried with tears in his eyes. He cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead. 'You're alright. I'm here.'

'I'm sorry.' She said. 'I... I freaked out on you... I'm... I'm sorry.' She started crying and he hugged her tightly. 'It's alright. I'm sorry that I brought the subject up.' He suddenly heard a camera shutter go off, he stepped in front of Iona and looked around. Once he spotted the camera, he grabbed Iona's hand and ran towards his car. He helped her into the car and once he closed her door the reporters swarmed them.

'Sebastian! Is she your girlfriend?' One of them asked.

'I'm sorry guys, but we are running behind on our schedule.' Sebastian lied.

Cameras were around taking pictures and he finally got in the car and they drove off.

'Bubs, I'm really sorry. I didn't expect them there.' Sebastian apologized as he comfort Iona by holding her hand.
