Chapter 1

**Mahogany's P. O. V.**

Dr. Murphy: Ms. Jones do you know where you are?
Me: No, but can you please move this goddamn light out of my face.
Dr. Murphy: Ms. Jones I'm Dr. Murphy, you are at the Mediterranean Bay Hospital. Do you know how you got here?
Me: Last thing I remember was being at my mothers house then everything else is blank.
Dr. Murphy: Okay, well your mother said that you left her house angry after talking to her about your depression. She said she tried following you but you were too fast. Before she got close you ran into traffic and got hit by a speeding car.
I couldn't believe that this happened. I almost got myself killed and even worse, in front of my mother.
Me: Oh my god Dr. Murphy how bad is it?
Dr Murphy: Well you were very lucky last night you only sprang your right ankle, broke your left wrist, and a few ribs. Now I'm going to run this pen on the sole of your foot and tell me what you feel.
Me: Yes I can feel it. That means I'm not paralyzed right?
He nodded yes. I was so glad to hear this.
Me: Dr. Murphy is my mom here because I want to see her.
He walked out to a nurse in the hallway, whispered something to him, then the nurse walk off somewhere. Soon the nurse return with my mom holding flowers, balloons, and cheesecake. My mom quickly put everything down on a counter and then ran over to hug me. She basically jumped on me.
Me: Ow goddamn it ma I have broken ribs over here and that fucking hurts.
Mom: I'm so sorry baby I'm just so happy to see you alive. You, Mickey, and Marshal are all I have left and I don't want to have to say goodbye to another child after your brother.
Me: I know I'm sorry.
Mom:Don't be sorry. I'm happy that you're alive and these bones will heal.
As soon as she finished Dr. Murphy walked in to tell me that I can leave whenever I feel like I'm ready since everything else checks out. I looked at my mom and she gave me a "you know I'll always take care of you" look.
Me: We'll besides the pain I feel alright. I think I'll go home with my mom.
Dr. Murphy: Ok I'll get your nurse and he will help you get ready.
Shorty after he left the nurse came in to unhook me from machine and help me get dressed. Before I knew it I was signed my release papers and being handed prescriptions.
Dr. Murphy: The first one is for the depression and the second one is for your pain. Get a lot of rest and come back in a few weeks to check on those injuries.
~at mom's house~
We pulled into the driveway and were welcomed by my stepfamily.
Mom: Mahogany after I get you settled in I'm going to go pick up your prescriptions.
My stepdad(Marshal) opened the my door and carried me to my old room. Then the whole family came to ambush me for what seemed like hours. Marshal and mom finally shooed every one away so I could rest. I asked my half brother(Mickey) to go to my apartment to grab my laptop and camera bags before they left and eventually falling asleep.

Sorry for cutting it short. My plan is to have long chapters but it's not going well so far.
