The silence following Leo's foot-in-the-mouth moment was deep and foreboding, especially around the Golden Trio and the newcomers. Leo himself was desperately trying to hide behind Frank and Hazel. It seemed never-ending until Seamus, quite causally, leaned around Ron, and said the ice-breaker.

"Well, it has got to beat the flirting that happened between, Lav and Won-Won." Ron blinked once before smacking Seamus' head. Quite harshly, it caused a few students at the opposite end of the Great Hall to wince in sympathy from the sound.

"Guys, keep it down there. McGonagall's not looking very friendly at us." The whispered sentence had the desired effect and everyone obediently put their head down and resumed eating. After a few moments, Ron spoke up again.

"You know that you can tell us anything, right mate?"

"What brought this on ?" "Maybe the boy sitting on your lap?"

Percy lifted his head from where he had rested it on Harry's shoulder, quietly trying to convince Harry to sneak out of dinner early, and stared at Ron with a raised eyebrow.

"Leo's blunder not enough for you? Well then, maybe a practical demonstration will do."Saying so, he leaned down and kissed Harry quite firmly on the lips. The catcalls and cheers finally reached their ears when they separated for air. Harry blushed when he saw his friends staring between him and Ginny, who was one of the people wolf-whistling.

"Um, Harry-" the rest of Hermione's statement was cut off by Ginny, who rolled her eyes at her brother and his girlfriend. Both of them looked ready to breathe fire on Ginny's behalf for what they saw as Harry two-timing her. It was quite adorable but she couldn't let her best friends and those who introduced her to her boyfriend be wrongly accused.

"Harry and I were never dating. It was only a cover to keep the press and the gold-digging harpies off his back. I agreed to this so that I could get to meet my own boyfriend in private and without my brothers breathing down my neck." Saying so, she got up and planted herself in the lap of the boy who had introduced himself as Jason Grace, and gave him a peck on the lips before snuggling into his hold.

"Oh please, the only reason you agreed was if we would set you up on a date with Jason and help you sneak out to meet with him. You couldn't care less what happened to my boyfriend." Percy snarked at her while cuddling said boyfriend, who could only roll his eyes at the two.

"Enough, you two. I'll give the rest of the gossip to your harpies in the dorms and not a moment before. Now let me enjoy dinner with my boyfriend."

Ending the conversation, Harry turned to his boyfriend as the table slowly finished eating.
