Y/n's POV:

I went down the stairs of the Common Room because I couldn't sleep and I heard someone sobbing. It was late, I looked at the clock and it was around 1AM. I saw Elena, wrapped in a blanket, sobbing.

"Elena? Are you okay?" I asked, sitting beside her.

"I- it's all my fault, I- I shouldn't have done t- that..."

"What are you talking about?"

I wrapped my arms around her and she mumbled something.

"What?" I asked.

"I- I h- had to tell Hannah f- for you and D- draco..."

"You- what?!"

"I'm sorry..."

I unwrapped my arms away from her and stood still beside her. I couldn't believe that she was that weak in front of Hannah.

"What did she does after?" I asked, clenching my jaw.

"S- she told everything to D- dumbledore..."

I shook my head and looked at her.

"Elena."

She looked at me, her mascara has dripped down her face, her eyes were red and puffy.

"Why did you tell her?" I asked.

"I- I didn't have the choice..." She said, wiping her tears away.

"Of course you had! You were just too weak." I said, turning my head to look at the flames in the fireplace.

I let out a loud sigh and rubbed my tired eyes.

"Y/n... Say something..." Said Elena.

"What do you want me to say?" I asked, looking at her. "It's too late now..."

I heard the door of the Common Room opened and I saw Draco entering.

"What's happening?" He asked, crouching beside me.

"Elena told to Hannah that we were together and she told it to Dumbledore." I explained.

"Yeah, I received a letter from him, he wants to see me before the class tomorrow." He said.

"I- I'm so sorry..." Sobbed Elena.

"If you don't mind, I'm going to sleep." I said, standing up.

"See you Y/n." Said Draco.

I waved at him and looked once last time at Elena before climbing the stairs.

Draco's POV:

I took Y/n's place beside Elena and she looked up at me.

"It wasn't my intention, you know that." She said.

"Yeah, I know." I sighed, looking at her.

"I was fed up of Hannah, she was always forcing me to make plans with her to make Y/n tell that she was with you and I hate lying to Y/n... Now, I lost her forever."

"No, you didn't lose her. She's just angry right now, but, I'm sure that one day, she'll forgive you."

"You think?"

I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm sure of it. Now, try to sleep, it's late." I said standing up.

I held out my hand for her to stood up and she wrapped herself more in the blanket.

"Thank you Professor." She said with a small smile.

"Call me Draco."

She nodded and went in her dorm. I sighed and took the letter in my pocket. I opened it once again and read the few words written on it.

Draco,

Can you come in my office, tomorrow before class? I need to talk to you.

Albus Dumbledore.

I folded the paper in its envelope and left the Common Room to go in my room.

The next morning, I woke up and headed to Dumbledore's office before working. I knocked and the door opened.

"Hello Draco, please take a seat."

I sat down in front of him and he stood up.

"Is that true that you're dating a student?" He asked.

I couldn't lie, it will make my situation worse, so I nodded.

"Thank you for your honesty. Is she consent?"

I nodded once again.

"Well, I don't see what is a big problem personally, but, professionally it is." He continues.

I looked up at him and ask:

"Will you expel me?"

"No, I won't. I know you Draco, I know that you didn't do the right choices in your life and I'm happy that you had found someone, but, you know how the others will react?"

"Yes, I know."

"You know what you have to do, now."

"You told me that you didn't mind about our relationship!" I said, standing up.

"You're a Professor, Draco! Y/n is a student! She's not major and you have a certain authority on her since you're older."

"You're telling me to break up, right?"

"I'll give you the choice, either you keep your post as a Professor, but you break up with Y/n or you stay together, but, I expel you both."

My jaw dropped at that moment. I needed that job, I didn't want to end like my father; mean, cold. Y/n was a brilliant student and she needs to finish her studies, she has time before meeting someone and have a family with them. Dumbledore was right, how people will react? Though, I don't give a fuck of what people think about it, but, if it'll ruin Y/n's future, I'll have to think about it.

"Can I go now?" I asked.

"Sure. Goodbye."

I stood up and left his office. I know that it was going to be complicated, but, it was the best solution, for both of us. If we want to stay here, together, we have to keep our distance or we take the risk, but, we left this school and Y/n's future will be ruined. I walked towards the Dungeons, where I have to do my class and everyone was sitting in silence. I spotted Y/n looking at me with a worried look on her face, I looked around the class and saw that no one was looking at me weirdly, Hannah hasn't told them, thank god... Talking about Hannah, she was looking at me with her brows frowned and her arms crossed.

"Why he's still here?!"

"I can read minds, idiot."

"I don't mind, you know already what I think about you."

I ignored what she said and cleared my throat.

"Well, hello everyone, take a piece of parchment and let's start." I announced.
