They say robots don't have hearts. They can't feel, they can't love. They're just tools, weapons, objects. Things to use and mess with. Not things you can take care of like people. But, when robots love, they love hard.
Hermit was working and analyzing data for the Edens Zero. Working nowadays is hard. Do you wish to know why? Hermit's mind. Daydreaming constantly about a certain young professor. Weisz Steiner. He was a jerk. A sex-craved maniac. Hit on any girl he saw as "hot." He was into machinery, building weapons and other small objects. But, with all of those flaws, he had a soft spot for Hermit.
He always calls me his little Hermy, Hermit thought. But that means nothing, doesn't it? He's just being friendly. I'm just a bot to him. Just another tool to use. Just another toy to mess with. I bet he likes Rebecca or Homura more than me....Aren't they more in his league?
"Hey Hermit, working on anything special?" Weisz came up from behind Hermit and sat down right next to her, watching her. "Uh, nothing too interesting. Just working on the ships new gears and battle weapons." The shy girl responded, even feeling lucky that he was just talking to her. "Seems like something extremely interesting to me. You know something, how about I help you with that." Weisz put his arms around her body, taking her hands into his and pulling her slightly closer to his chest. "Hmm seems like you attached these pieces to the wrong ones, let me show you where to connect them to." Putting the pieces in the correct spots of the gears, he was touching her hands over and over. Hermit was a blushing mess. Feeling his warmth, his body up against hers. This was a fantasy. A blessing in disguise. What if something like this never happens again? Hermit must make a move!
"Weisz...I need to tell you something." She looked behind her, looking up at this handsome man up against her. "What is it my little Hermy?" He called me his?!?! He must be messing with me. Hermit thought. "Whatever I tell you, don't ever let this hurt our friendship. I've liked you for some time now...well, more like love. I love you, Weisz! I know it's crazy, stupid, maybe even insane, but I actually see you beyond how you might see other girls! I'm just a bot, but I do have feelings. I do have a heart. And I want that heart of mine to love you, and only you. If you don't feel the same thing, then that's alright. I'm just glad that you finally know how I truly feel now..."
Weisz was stunned, but leaned in almost immediately. Hermit's eyes went wide. Her crush, no, her lover, had his lips on hers. Their kiss was deep, like this was bound to happen. "Its about time you told me that. I've waited too long for this. I've loved you for a long time."
