Then we got there and i felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach.

as we were walking up to the cafe, joshua maneuvered in front of me at some point and held the door open for me.

I thanked him and walked in- doing so, I remembered that day.

I turned my head slightly to the right and saw the booth me and my mom sat in when we came. All the memories came rushing back. I remembered how bright her smile was and her simple yet breathtaking outfit. I remember the jokes she cracked when she saw my mood go low. She was so excited for her trip but when I remembered she was leaving a sense of sadness washed over me. She tried to make sure that, that would be a day we could talk about for times to come. It is but now when talking about it, it isn't in a lightened mood.

I shook my head trying to escape the past that I once called the joyful present.

I then felt a pair of warm hand take hold of mine that were resting at my sides. "Hey, hey is everything ok?" I hear Joshua's soothing voice ask. "H-huh? O-oh umm Mhm, y-yea im ok?" manage to stutter out. I feel my hand lightly start to shake and my legs begin to tremble.

Joshua slightly squeezes my hands as he begins "its going to be ok. I'm right here. C'mon let's sit." he then guides me to the closest open table. He pulls out the chair and guesters me to sit.

I take my seat as he let's go of my hands. He then sits in the seat next to me, "do you want something to eat, or maybe sone water?" I only nod my head 'yes' while taking deep breaths in and out, trying to calm myself.

He then rises from his seat and walkes to the counter to order. I have now steadied my breathing as well as my shaking but my leg starts to bounce and I let it because I have no motivation to stop it.

A couple of minuets later Joshua comes back with a bottle of water, what I'm assuming is his bubble tea, and a small slice of strawberry cake.

He places the water in front of me, walking to the spot in front of me and placing the plate with the cake in between the seats on the table. Once he reaches his place, he set down his drink and sat.

I bring my hands up from under the table and sip my water from the paper straw. "Thank you so much shua." I say with a slight grin spread across my face. Once I realize what I called him, my eyes moderately widened. I felt my face start to lightly heat up as I looked down, trying to avoid his eyes.

"I-im sorry, I d-dont know wh-" my words were cut off by Joshua saying "oh don't worry about it it's all good." his words give me sense of slight comfort. I look up from my lap time see beaming Joshua.

Joshua gave me sense of comfort. I felt I could talk to him about anything and everything. Of course I didn't do so but he made me feel I could. I, honestly, did not want to tell him the reason I almost had a mini panic attack earlier but if he asked I probably would summarize it.

Me and shua finished our drinks along with the cake in a matter if minutes so after that we just sat and talked.

We would occasionally burst into a fit of laughter and we could feel all the glares and stares we would get buy that didn't stop us for even a millisecond. Not once did he ask or talk about what took place when we first entered although I felt he was still very curious. Don't get me wrong, I would be very curious as well as concerned if something like that we're to happen.

It was now 12 o'clock signaling we've been sitting in the cafe, talking for almost 2 hours. I honestly believe we are on the verge of getting kicked out due to all the laughter and noise but I could honestly care less. It is very enjoyable spending time with Joshua and getting to know more about him.

Turns out they have been running their gambling business for quiet sometime now. He also slipped out something about a side hustle but quickly changed the subject. Although I caught the information, I didn't ask any further questions.

After a few more minutes of talking we made plans to spend the rest if the day together by walking around the city, going to shops, trying more food (of course), and I decided to surprise him (in-a-way) at the end of the day.

It is now 6 in the afternoon and me and Joshua have walked around almost the whole city. We tried multiple food stands, went to some small shops, and now we're at some pop up festival.

Josh won me a little whale plushi and I won him a big stuffed bunny. "it reminds me of jeonghan, thank you" he said, laughing as I gave him the big plushi. I just smiled and chuckled as I saw him sqeeze the stuffed animal.

"Ahh its already getting late we should go now I have something I want you show you." I said looking at my watch. He grabbed my hand, interlocking our fingers and started off, dragging me with him. It felt like my face was on literally fire. I felt the fire spread to my ears and I could hear Joshua lightly chuckle.

The sun was slowly making it's way down and I could see how the light altostratus clouds slowly make their way across the dimming, late noon sky.

The only sounds being audible, the busses and cars zooming by a long with the crunching of the crisp, dead, spring leaves. I look back up into the sky and see small cumulus clouds mixed in with the big cumulonimbus clouds.

After a few more minutes of walking and small talk that was made a long the way, I see that we are close to the scene of the surprise.

I suddenly stop which catches Joshuas attention causing him to stop aswell. "Um are you good?" he asked with a confused expression. I lightly chuckle at his reaction, "yea yea in fine but wanna go to the park before we go back to my house? I just really wanna show you something." I say truthfully.

he nods his head and as soon as he does so i ask him,

"do you trust me?"
