Pillow Talk

It was another long day in the hidden café, Evelyn had finished locking up and finally made her way back to the small but cosy apartment she shared with her best friend Wanda. They had been best friends for as long as they could both remember, they were practically sisters. They did everything together, school, traveling and now going off to college together.

"Wands are you home?" Evelyn called out as she threw her coat down on the sofa, her fingers coming to tug the pins from her locks, allowing the silky chocolate waves to fall down around her waist before her fingers rubbed where the clips once were with a soft groan.

"In here.." the redhead called out, popping her head around the bedroom door. "Did you see your mystery visitor again today?" Wanda continued with a small giggle as Evelyn made her way to the bed before slumping down beside her, a smile curling up onto her lips as thoughts flashed through her mind of her new regular customer, the way he spoke to her, the way his clothes fitted so perfectly, the way he looked at her.

"Oh I did..." she trailed off slowly with the thoughts melting into her mind. "For the 6th time this week might I add, he must really like coffee or something" she sighed gently as she kicked her shoes from her feet, letting out a soft groan of defeat after her long day at work.

"Mm...or something" she retorted, a smile stretching with the roll her of her deep blue eyes. Wanda brushed her fingers through her thick red locks before a smile came up onto her lips, her hands reaching out for a binder on the bedside table before planting it down onto the bed Infront of the brunette. "This has everything you need for Wednesday, I wanted to put it together for you since you've been so busy at work" she spoke excitedly before continuing "it has your timetables and everything" she smiled.

"Wands.." she exclaimed in a sleepy tone. "You are the bestest friend a girl could ask for, do you know that?" She smiled brightly before wrapping her arms tightly around the redhead besides her "I love you so much" she giggled, squeezing her tightly before letting her go and slumping back down to the pillows.

"I do know, I am just the best, if you want you can tell me again" she laughed before laying down beside her.

"Are you nervous?" Wanda said softly as she turned to face her, propping her pale cheek into her hand. "I know that I am, I can't believe we are finally going to college Eve" she smiled.

"I'm so nervous, what if my professor doesn't like me? What if I don't make any friends?" she said quietly, her voice laced with anxiety as she turned into the same position. "I can't believe it either, just one more day at our jobs and then we are going to college" she grinned, the anxiety almost melting away at the thought of them having classes together.

"Eve, everyone loves you, don't be so silly, if your professor doesn't like you he will have to take it up with me." she said with a chuckle, knocking her arm out from under her dark hair causing her head to fall into the pillow with a burst of laughter.

"Hardly my last day though, I'll be working at the bar throughout the whole semester, at least you'll have the place to yourself in the evenings, lots of time to do your own thing, maybe you'll finally even get a little somethin' after that Trainwreck of a relationship" she said with a laugh.

"Ew. I don't even want to talk about him" her eyes rolled with a chuckle "I don't think I'll be getting anything Wands, I just want to keep my head down and focus on my classes for the most part" her brows furrowed as she turned onto her back.

"Mysterious James from the Coffee shop might have other ideas for you" she said with a cheeky smile before the laughter started to creep from both of their lips, a deep blush flooding Evelyn's freckled cheeks. As much as she wanted to hide it, Evelyn might have had a small crush on the mysterious man in the coffee shop, he had come in every day that week and although their conversations were short, their eyes did most of the talking.

After talking and laughing another night away, the pair ended up sleeping in Wanda's bed just like they would when they were younger, tucked up and ready for what would probably be sweet dreams.
