I watched the Socs car leave. I hadn't noticed the two figures exit the car until they had already made their way to the door. The guy stopped the girl he was with and quickly pulled her in. The girl looked familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. The guy whispered something in her ear, making her giggle profusely. They walked into the store and I went back to doing nothing. By the time the couple had made an entire lap around the store, I realized. My eyes widened in shock. That's Skylars girlfriend, Cherry. Instantly I reached for my phone to call Skylar. By the time I had even gotten my phone out the two were at the counter with some food and beer. I placed my phone on the counter next to me.

"Can I see your ID?" I ask, scanning the food, making sure not to scan the beer yet. "No?" The guy answered, laughing like he had never been carded before. "Then I can't sell this to you." I say, plainly. At this point Cherry was glaring knives at me. As I was about to take the beer off the counter to be able to put it back in it's cooler, Cherry had a different plan. She reached out to me, grabbed my apron, and pulled closer to her. "You have two options, honey. Either A; you sell it to him willingly, like a good boy, or B; we make you." She threatened. "As much as I would love to do that, it's illegal. Honey." I answered, yanling her hand off of me.

She didn't like that. She looked around the store and the outside for anyone. Once she had seen we were the only ones around here. She gave a stupid smile-smirk, and looked me up and down. It wasn't until after the slap, that it had registered. My cheek tingled and was most definitely red. I looked back up to the couple, who had amused looks on their faces. "That was a warning. Tell him and it will be worse, hon." Cherry said and walked out the store, with the guy following close behind.

Finally my shift ended. I started to walk to Skylars, when of course who had to be there. Cherry. Not wanting a fight, I ran. Not dying today, nope. I ran to my house and snuck in, not wanting to alert the dogs. I walked into my room, surprised I still have one. I got in and threw my coat on the bed, not noticing the figure that was sitting there. "Uh, rude. Could have at least given me a warning." The man said, his voice rough and gravely. I recognize that voice. "Jesse!" I exclaimed, almost crying. This was it. The best thing that could happen. My brother was home.
