You slowly made your way back home to retire after a long day of work when your police scanner went off.
"We have a 209b in progress at the Tomi Tomi bank on Aiko street." You rolled your eyes and huffed as you got into your... Hero uniform?
Your combat outfit (I did not make this art, but I did edit it)
You couldn't really call it a hero uniform though, you were not considered a real hero. You had never been licensed, never gone to a school for heroism, nothing like that.
You hopped on your motorcycle and made your way to Aiko street. "A robbery with hostages," You noted aloud as you stopped your motorcycle in an alley close to the Tomi Tomi bank but just far enough so the cops would not see you. You made your way up onto a roof and lept from building to building, stopping on the bank's roof. You laid down to not be spotted as you took out your eavesdropping tool and put it to your ear to listen in on what the cops were talking about.
"There are multiple people armed. I would say about three. They have 12 hostages in there and a bomb. They are willing to blow the building sky high," One cop said.
"We have some Pro Heroes on their way but I don't know if they will make it in time," Another one chimed in. You sighed and put back your eavesdropping device as you crawled to the farther end of the bank. You peaked over the edge and made an estimate about how tall it was.
"25 feet high ish, so about two stories," You said to yourself. You clicked your belt buckle twice and it let out a grappling hook, you secured it on the ledge of the building and started on your way down. As you made your way down you noticed an open window. "Amateurs," You laughed as you made your way inside the building. As you crept through the building, you were thankful for your sound absorbent boots you had just finished making that day. Once you got into the main area with the hostages, stood behind a corner, hidden, trying to think of your next move. You couldn't throw a single punch at any of the criminals until they threw one at you. You couldn't tie them up unless they tried to hurt you. You couldn't do anything unless it was in self defence if you wanted to avoid possible criminal charges. You heard footsteps approach where you were, as the person turned the corner they took out their gun and aimed it at you. Before they could shoot, In one swift movement, you turned the gun away from your body by grabbing hold of the criminal's wrist, and twisted it making him let go of the gun. You then used your grappling hook to tie the criminal up, shoved him in a room, and shut the door. Just in case he got out of the rope you use a bobby pin you had in your hair to lock the door. You only had a few minutes until the other two criminals would look for their partner, so you had to work fast.
"Hey, dude. Go check up on Daisuke, he should be back by now," The guy who stood next to the bomb said.
"Shit," You mumbled under your breath. The criminal made his way down a hall that circled around and led to you. You decided to meet them halfway. As soon as they spotted you, they pulled out their gun. You put up your arms as they walked towards you.
"And who are you," They said as you felt the barrel of the gun on your back.
"Oh, I'm here for comicon," You laughed a bit.
"Stop playing games, I am not afraid to kill you right here, right now," they said. You heard them cock the gun.
"Wow, this is a really realistic roleplay!" You said with a smile.
"This is real life," they raised their voice a bit.
"Oh yeah sorry, I didn't mean to break character it's just that I am not supposed to be here for the roleplay," You said as you turned towards the criminal slowly. You noticed how much they were shaking, and based on the way they held the gun and cocked it after they aimed it at you... You could tell that they had hardly any experience.
"I-I will shoot," they stuttered.
"You won't," You said in a stern voice that shook them to their core. Their eyes widened in fear as they fiddled with the trigger. You used the same technique you had used on the other criminal to disarm the one in front of you.
"I- I will use my quirk on you if you take another step forward," They said as they put their hands on their head. The way his voice wavered, you could see his bluff. You aimed the gun at them and directed them into a room.
"You don't want to be doing this... I can tell, so if you don't want to get hurt or possibly have someone else's blood on your hands I would suggest that you stay here and willingly give yourself up to the cops," You said as you shut the door and locked it with your bobby pin. "Two down. One more to go," You said to yourself as you made your way to the room with the hostages and the bomb. You were glad that your conversation with the second criminal lasted some time. The whole time they were talking you were recording their voice with your voice imitation device. You clicked a button on your gloves and a hologram of a keypad showed up, you typed in what you wanted them to say and hit the play button.
"Hey, dude! Come quick, Daisuke wants to give himself up to the police!" The voice imitation device played. The criminal quickly made their way towards you, once they turned the corner you immediately disarmed them and twisted their arms behind their back, holding them there.
"What the?! Who the hell are you?!" They asked angrily. You didn't respond. You made your way to the bank's exit with the criminal in hand, you opened the door and slowly walked out since the cops had all their guns aimed at you.
"All the criminals have been apprehended inside," You said as you shoved the criminal in your hands to the ground. A bunch of cops ran past you and went inside, while some handcuffed the criminal you brought out to them. You started to walk away but before you made it far the Pro Hero, Ground Zero, stopped you.
"You are under arrest for vigilantism, anything you do and say will be used against you," Ground Zero said as he handcuffed you.
"Oh? And what exactly did I do that will fall under the rules of vigilantism?" You questioned.
"Breaking an entering, and using a quirk without a license," He said angrily.
"I did no such thing. The window on the second story was left open, and there was no sign saying 'keep out' not to mention this is public property. Also how can someone use a quirk they don't have? You may also say that there was unprovoked violence but I made sure that I only acted when being held at gunpoint," You stated the facts.
"I- uh?!" He tried to think of the next thing to say.
"Also do you have an arrest warrant, if not you doing this would be considered kidnapping and I could press charges against you," You said with a smug expression.
"WHAT THE HELL!? YOU ARE A VIGILANTE NOT A HERO YOU BELONG IN JAIL!" Ground Zero yelled.
"I am in fact neither so if you do not mind, please take off these handcuffs and I will be on with my day," You said. Ground Zero grumbled as he unlocked the handcuffs.
"I'm keeping my eye on you Vigilante," He said with gritted teeth.
"You are lucky I am not pressing charges against you," You laughed, "Next time you want to lock me up, be sure you know more about the law than the basics. See you later Hero," You said as you walked away. You made your way back to the alleyway that you left your motorcycle in and then went home. Once you got home you ate some food and went right to sleep, you had a long day of work in the morning.
