Chapter 6: Barely Missed

Hey everyone! Sorry that it's been a few months since my last update, I just really haven't got back into this fandom much but everyone deserves a chapter since everyone's been waiting so long for it so I decided to write a chapter. I hope everyone enjoys the chapter, chapter 7 maybe out soon I don't know. So don't get your hopes up just yet it might come out soon though.

P.s. anytime Virgil is 'speaking' it's in sign language. I got tired of writing in sign language after every time he spoke so here's the warning!

• Virgil's POV •

I woke up in the bed the next morning where I saw Roman sleeping in the chair. I smiled as it was nice to not be completely worried about mine and Logan's safety or once, even if I never was strong enough to protect Logan... I was snapped out of my thoughts by Roman who had woken up when I wasn't paying attention. I smiled and waved hello. Roman smiled and replied with hello and asked if I was hungry. I shook my head since I never really liked having breakfast. Roman didn't seem bothered so we went outside of the room where Logan and Patton were talking as Logan enjoyed some coffee.

• Patton's POV •
Logan and I were talking when I spotted Anx and Roman walking in. Anx seemed confused as to what Logan was drinking because he gave it a weird look before Asking what it was. Roman looked shocked for a moment. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT COFFEE IS?!" Roman shouted before saying "My apologies.. I didn't mean to tell." much more calmly. Logan just gave a annoyed expression but it also looked... kinda pained. "We never had a lot of the things you have here... Like coffee...." he replied to Roman looking down. I felt so bad because they seemed like they had been through a lot. Anx ended up hugging Logan before having a cup of coffee as well.

(Note: Can animals have coffee? Eh oh well)

• Logan's POV •
Anx decided to have a cup of coffee and that scared me. Anx had never experienced caffeine. I was very lucky though because he didn't take any special effects towards it like extreme hyperness. "How is it?" I began to ask but his facial expressions were enough to tell me everything. I looked at Anx, he was smiling widely which was wonderful to see. I was so happy but then I looked over at Roman. He was.. blushing?.

• Roman's POV •
'Oml why is he so cute?!' I was saying in my brain that was scattered every where.  I shook my head and noticed Logan looking at me strangely. I just shook it off and decided to speak up a bit. "Do you guys want to explore the village some more?" Logan declined but Anx seemed to like the idea, so we decided to head out into the village. It was still pretty early in the morning and I'm surprised I didn't wake anyone else up. I figured maybe we'd see Remy and the others a little bit later. I showed Anx the bakery that Patton rimmed usually even though it was closed today. I showed him the book store and the village square area. Although for some reason he seemed jumpy around weapons so we ended up not going near any of the weapon shops. But something weird happened when we were at the end of our tour, we saw a group of nekos that I had never seen before. They didn't seem to be from around here and they seem like they were searching for someone... And when I was going to go up to them, Anx looked nervous so I decided not to talk to them before they ended up coming over to us. Anx hid himself under his hoodie as I began talking to the nekos who showed up.

• Virgil's POV (Again) •
Roman and I were finishing our tour of the village when we saw a group of nekos. Well he didn't seem to think anything about them I realized who they were right away, which made me put my hood up because I was afraid of what they would do if they realized who I was. Roman seems to realize I was nervous but didn't seem to think too much about it. Thankfully they left after a moment or two and we went back to the place we were staying at. I decided to go in my room so I wouldn't worry Logan. But as I was walking to my room I heard Roman say: "We'll take you to meet the king soon" but I couldn't really care too much at this point in time, I was just so afraid because of the close encounter we had. I tuned everyone out for at least a good hour just thinking to myself and thinking about what would have happened if they would have caught me.
