Prolouge And Chapter 1: On the Run

Prologue

??? POV
"....Hi....my name...is Logan.

Logan's POV
I'm a werewolf and I live in a cave with my adopted brother, Virgil. ......Virgil is a mute and has always been. When I found him he was covered with cuts on his side and wouldn't talk but he whined. I brought him to my cave and fixed him up. I later found out that it was his Neko tribe that had done this and he ran away before they could kill him. I also learned that they are chasing him to execute him but I promised I wouldn't let them hurt him. I mean, I've done a good job since then. But that was 10 years ago and Virgil and I are still ok right now.

Chapter 1
*A few days later, a stormy night in their cave*

Virgil's POV

I was awake and just listening to the rain when I heard people talking. I could smell their scent though. 'Nekos are coming close' but then what I heard made my alarms go off in my head.
"I can smell him! He is close by! If we catch him we'll get a lot of money! The Neko leader really badly wants to kill him" I heard someone say and with that I ran over to Logan and shook him.

"What is it Anx...?" He said tiredly but his ears twitched and then I figured he got the message when he heard some nekos talking near the cave.

"We have to go. Now" he said in a sturn voice.
I nodded and we started to run away but they heard us and started to chase us.

We ran next to a cliff that was next to a waterfall and right above the lake.

Than Logan said something to me that made me look at him like he was crazy.

Logan's POV

We were running and being chased when we were cut off by a Cliff. I
looked over the edge and I had a thought of how to keep Virgil safe.

"Jump....."

He looked at me and shook his head

I just signed
"Anx.... You have to jump.... they're after you and we don't have much time. If you jump into the lake you're safe because they won't go anywhere near the lake. You're the only neko I've ever met that isn't afraid of water. And if you don't jump you may be killed and I can't have that because I promise to protect you. You're my brother and I would never let them kill you."

He shook his head again and gave me a look I can tell that he wasn't going to leave me behind. But he needed to go I would be fine but he wouldn't, not if he stayed. So..... I did what was necessary.

Virgil's POV
" I'm sorry about this Anx.." Logan said in a sorry tone.
I questioned what he meant only to realize.....

He pushed me....

I was scared and anxious about every bit of it. I saw him run off and saw the nekos follow him.

Then......
It all went black.
