\ next morning
"Jun, come and have breakfast," Y/N calls out. She places a plate in front of Jungkook, who is already seated at the table.
Junho comes out and slightly bows to greet his parents. It is unusual of him to do so and it does not go unnoticed by them.
"I have early morning football practise today," he speaks and before his mother could say anything, he walks out and shuts the door after him. She sighs and sits beside Jinha who has her mouth filled with food and eyes wide open to watch the tablet placed in front of her.
Y/N slightly taps her chin and Jinha instantly starts chewing.
It is a very rare morning at the Jeon's— with no kisses and hugs between the couple, or no nagging of their son.
Reaching school, Junho cannot care less. He does not wish the watchman 'morning' which takes the old man by surprise. He doesn't smile at his friends who call him to walk to the class together. He doesn't eagerly ask his teachers to let him read out loud in the class, he seems to not pay attention either.
His friends ask him if something's wrong, but all they got was 'nothing'.
Like father, like son.
He doesn't even feel like eating so he ends up sitting alone in the library. He does pick out a random book from the shelf and sits at the corner with an intention of reading but ends up staring outside. Even though he doesn't realise what is going on in his mind, he knows it is chaos.
Why do you think not every actor or actress's son makes it big? They have everything laid out. Sometimes not even hard work helps in that case. His dad's words keep ringing in his ears every now and then. How can he think straight with all of this revolving in his brain?
Three days pass just like that in silence.
Things become quieter at Jeon's house. No one bothers to initiate any conversation with anyone. Junho stays in his room most of the time, refusing to even have a bite of his food. Even when Y/N forces him a bite, he ends up leaving the other half of the food untouched.
To a mother, it bothers a lot.
Her child is not even having proper food and refuses to speak, it hurts her heart.
Jungkook too is quite distant and doesn't come home until midnight, drowning himself with work. Jinha is the only one keeping good relationships with all her family.
Jungkook often finds himself asleep beside her when he goes to see his little angel sleeping peacefully and kiss her goodnight. She would purposefully annoy Junho and that at least keeps him speaking.
