20 seconds into the 4th quarter, Seirin was in the lead 78-69. Mitobe passed the ball to Kuroko. He dribbles the ball and uses the vanishing drive to get through his opponents. He then passes to Kiyoshi who dunks on the hoop giving the team 2 more points by the time the 4th quarter is over.

"Good work on today's game! Make sure to get plenty of rest for tomorrow". Riko advised. We got 3 more games to go"!

"Awww man", The boys complained in unison.

"Quiet fools! We are so close to getting into the winter cup, so shut your traps and stop complaining!" Hyuuga yelled.

"Yes sir."

As everyone walked out of the locker room, Kiyoshi grabbed his phone from his bag and started to text someone.

"Hurry up slowpoke!'' Hyuuga yelled at Kiyoshi.

"Sorry, I'm coming." Kiyoshi puts his phone in his pocket.

"Who are you texting"? Kagami asked.

"An old friend of mine. Although I think she's busy. Well, she always is. She's kinda slow in responding but it's fine". Kiyoshi shrugged.

At Tōō Academy...

The tapping of the black ball pen on Mina's notebook was in sync with the clock ticking on the wall. As she was waiting for the defense attorney to finish questioning his witness, she grabbed her red Nokia flip phone and noticed a message pop up on the screen. Noticing who it was, she began to text the person.

"No further questions your honor". The defense attorney confirmed.

"Thank you defense. Prosecution your up", The judge says. Mina did not hear the judge as she was texting.

"Prosecution", The judge said again. There was no response.

"SATO"! The teacher yelled and snatched her phone from her hand. Mina looked up and saw the angry expression on her teacher's face.

"Sorry, sensei", She stood up and approached the witness.

"Tami, you said you were at home at the time of your father's murder correct"? Mina asked.

"That's correct". The witness confirmed.

"Then why did the security camera capture you going to the nail salon instead ?" Mina asked.

"Objection! Irrelevance." The defense attorney called out. "I'll allow it". The judge yawned and scratched her head.

"Well, I work there and I was the last one to lock up. But then I had to run back because I forgot something." Tami responded.

"Was the item you forgot nail polish remover?" Mina asked.

"What? No! I forgot my phone!" The witness started to sweat.

"When you went in, you had your phone in your hand and when you went out you had the bottle of nail polish in your hand". Mina interrogated her even further. "So, did you take the nail polish remover with you"?

"Objection, you can't just assume the item I had was a phone or alcohol. It was too dark outside to tell"! The witness yelled.

"Witnesses can't object", The judge interrupted. "Answer the question please." She adds.

"Yes I did, but so what? My boss said I could take it". The witness fidgeted with her hands.

"Here's the thing though, your boss said she was missing a bottle of nail polish remover while she was checking the inventory. And you did say you were the last one to leave. So why did you take the nail polish remover? Was it because you actually need it to clean your own nails, or you need it to burn your father to death?" She asked.
