Chapter Ten
I woke up to Chase tickling me. "Noooo," I groaned tiredly.
"Come on," he whispered.
"I just want to sleep," I rolled away from him.
"No, no, no. Come on, babycakes."
"So tired," I whispered.
"If you don't wake up, I'll just have to use a different technique..."
"I'm awake," I yawned, with my eyes still closed. I rolled away from him again. He pulled me so I would sit up. He picked me up over his shoulder. "I can walk!" I growled and rubbed my eyes.
My head was level with the middle of his back, and I wrapped my arms around him so I wouldn't fall. He sat me down on the couch, and turned on the DVD.
"Why can't we just do this some other time?"
"Because I only asked your mom for permission..." he whispered. He put his arm around my shoulders, and I leaned on him.
"A horror movie, really?" I rolled my eyes at the TV.
"Aw, poor lil' Sammy gonna get scared?" he cooed.
"Yes" I whispered seriously, ignoring his unhumorous sence of humor.
Everytime I closed my eyes, I would fall asleep a little. But I'd hear something coming from the TV, and I'd wake up to a lot of blood, or a girl running. And then falling dramatically.
"I would have taken you to a movie theater, but I don't have money," he whispered in my ear.
"This is fine," I mumbled tiredly.
"When does your dad get up?" he asked.
"Six thirty to get his coffee, every morning," I yawned.
"Well, it's six exactly."
"What time did you wake me up?"
"Five..." he mumbled.
"I thought our date was at four?" I said and gave him a smirk. "You were late to our first date? How could you?" I said dramatically and collapsed on him. He laughed quietly.
"How could you sleep half way through our date?"
"Considering it's six in the morning, on a Saturday, when I should be passed out in my bed..."
"Right," he said. "Well, let's get you to bed." he said a while later, when the credits started to roll.
"Mhm," I said and got up. He walked with me back to our rooms, and then I walked into my room, thinking he'd just go into his. But he didn't. I was containing my teenage girl within, and turned to him. "Yes?"
"Cuddle?" he whimpered.
He laid behind me, and pulled me as close to him as possible. I played with his fingers, while trying to sleep.
But I couldn't focus on sleep when there's someone like this behind me. Someone who I just wanna hug to death. Someone I found myself liking even though I shouldnt.
