After running a few blocks and passing more than a few people, you ended up stopping at a nearby park to catch your breath.
Not many children were around from the mildly cold weather of spring, so it was a good place to be alone.
You walked over to one of the swings in the small park and sat there. Taking out your phone, you decided to call on you friend Quin for some help.
Instead of hearing her sweet voice of comfort, it goes to voicemail.
'Dammit' you think. 'What the hell am I going to do now?'
Trying not to panic you manage to calm yourself down just enough to think of something to do or somewhere to go.
There didn't seem to be many places around here to go, but you decided to check anyway.
First, you started walking a little in the direction you came from.
All you could see were streets and maybe a convenience store around the corner.
You thought it wouldn't help much when you didn't have your wallet on you, so you walked back to the park.
Growing more helpless by the minute you reluctantly made yourself walk past the park in the other direction. However this time, as you did it started to look a little familiar.
You walked down the long street ahead as the evening was quickly fading. Speed walking as soft rain started to surround you.
You wanted to turn back to the park but your mind insisted you go further. As you did, you saw a soft glow ahead. Not from the streetlights or light up signs from any stores. No, this was different.
As you got closer to the light, you saw a large building peeking out behind a couple houses. Once you approached it, all you could bother to notice was the sign above the overhang that led to the doors of the building.
The sign had a picture of a brown bear on it, with the rest of it reading "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza".
Since there was light from inside the pizzeria, you thought you could take a peek inside. Although there was a closed sign hanging on one of the doors, you tried to open it anyway. The door was locked.
Out of luck and alone with no place to go, you slumped yourself down onto the dry piece of pavement that was under the overhang. Leaning on the side of the building, beginning to panic once again.
'If no one comes out here to help, what would happen?' is all you could think.
'What would happen' is all that mattered in such a moment of despair.
No one to help. Nothing but the occasional car passing by and the flickering street lights to fill the void of silence. Finally breaking you down into pieces.
You sat crying for what seemed like hours until you heard a door unlock. That door being the one you were sitting near.
After a moment of hearing the sound, you were startled by the door opening and what seemed like a man closing up the place for the night. As he finished locking the door, he yelled at the sight of you sitting there.
You both were frozen by each others appearance. 'What now' you both seemed to think.
That was until the man slowly approached you. Frightened by this you quickly tried to stand up.
"What's your name?" The man says in a hesitant voice. Unsure if he should be trying to help or escape this situation.
"My name is y/n." You stutter.
"How old are you?" He questions.
"I'm 17." You respond.
"Could you tell me why you're here?"
'Why I'm here.' you thought. Just thinking about the whole situation made you tear up a bit. You tried to hide it from the man but he could tell you were upset.
"Well, I can tell you aren't ready to talk about it right now. So would you like to go get some coffee or something? I don't want to leave a girl like you alone and scared for the night."
"But I don't even know your name." You say, genuinely confused if you could trust him.
"Sorry about that dear, my name is Henry Emily. But you can just call me Henry."
After agreeing to have him take you for coffee, he leads you to his car and you both get in.
Even though he was still a stranger, you didn't feel too scared of him.
As he started pulling out of the empty parking lot, you started some conversation.
"What do you work as for the restaurant?"
"Oh Freddy's? I'm the owner of the place. I usually have to close up by myself." Henry says.
"Do you have a job?" He curiously asks.
"Um, no. Not yet anyways. I'm planning on it soon after I graduate."
"Oh yeah, well it does sound like a good plan." He pauses.
"I mean to know what you want, not trying to be rude."
"Yeah, I know." You assure him. For an almost total stranger, he doesn't seem too bad. He almost reminds you of Quin actually.
A few minutes of driving later, you and Henry make it to a coffee shop. You both got out and headed inside. It was warmly lit with a few tables and booths inside. Not too small of a space to be crowded, but just enough to feel cozy.
"What would you like y/n?" Henry asks.
You look up at the options posted above the counter.
"I'll just take a hot chocolate."
"Alright, go and pick our seat, I'll just be a minute."
You pick a booth and sit down on the cushioned leather. Before you could think about home, Henry sits down at the opposite end. He places your hot chocolate in front of you as well as a chocolate doughnut. You look at him in confusion.
"Thought you might want it." He adds.
Such a nice gesture. If only everyone could be like him. You thank him for the doughnut while you sip some of your hot chocolate. After a few moments of eating he asks you again.
"So y/n, not trying to pry or anything but why were you so upset back a Freddy's?"
You sit in silence a little longer, trying to figure out a way to tell him.
Once you summarized what happened and what brought you to Freddy's, all you could see was genuine sympathy for you on his face.
