Chapter 9: Inside the enchanted forest

Choa looked around for the enchanted forest. She then spotted Ginger Breadhouse cleaning up the table. "Hey Ginger, do you know where I can get to the enchanted forest" Choa asked. "Yeah, just go straight and then a right. You will probably recognize it quickly. There is a giant rainbow looming over it." Ginger smiled. "Thanks" said Choa as she headed out of the ice cream store towards the forest. 

 It was beautiful. It had many bright green trees and you could hear birds chirping all around, not to mention the occasional scuttling of animals. There were many trees including a cherry blossom one, which highly excited Choa. Of course, there was also the giant rainbow, and many overgrown vines which Choa's eyes followed as she finally noticed the forest. Choa stepped into forest as the sunshine hit her. It radiated of energy, and she felt comfortable and safe, like she never had before. She began to walk. Occasionally stopping, to get a glance at the nature. She finally reached the centre. She looked ahead. A small pond lay in front of her. It was surrounded by trees and bushes, which acted as a fence for it. It felt secure. She approached the pond curiously and then bent down on all fours. She looked at her reflection and pressed her palm against the water's surface. Choa adjusted herself comfortably as she rested the bottom of her legs in the water and sat relaxedly close to the pond as she peered at the sky. 

Choa thought to herself, "This place is excellent. It could be a great place to practise singing, and nobody would hear me!" She then began to start singing, "I tried to hide myself, to maintain an image, to maintain an image..." Animals started to scurry and appeared from bushes. Choa looked surprised. Her singing was enchanting enough to bring animals close to her. She felt happy about this accomplishment and began singing even louder. 

Sparrow Hood was practising playing his electric guitar on the other side of the forest, when he heard Choa singing from the distance. "Woah guys, stop! Do you hear that? Someone is singing, and it sounds...good." Sparrow was rarely impressed by people's singing skills and usually thought of people as unworthy to sing beside his electric guitar solos. "Bro, come on! Stop fooling around, you were the one who told us not to get distracted when practising. At this rate, we may not win "Ever After High's Musical Talent Show!" One of his band mates called over to him. "Oh, come on, if we find out who this person is, we could let them join the band! They could sing alongside our music and then we could win the talent show!" Sparrow said excitedly. "But I thought Apple agreed to be our lead singer when she had time for it, and help us win!" another band mate nodded. "You know how busy Apple is, and besides this person sounds even better, and if Apple actually agrees to sing for us, she could sing backup." Sparrow said. "Fine, but we don't even know who this person even is!" the drummer called out while rolling his eyes. "It's ok. I'll go over to them and find them. I can hear them from here meaning that they are sure to be in the forest. You guys stay here and practise. I'll be back soon." 

Sparrow then walked out of his bands practise spot and headed out into the forest. He headed towards the front of the forest, following the sound of the singing. He then heard it. It was much more defined, he was close. Choa started to hear rustling coming from the bushes, but they were not one of an animal's. Choa stopped singing. She then used her power as Kitty Cheshire to teleport, she was gone within a flash. "Wait!" Sparrow called out from behind the bush, but she was already gone.
