Luffy's phone buzzed in his pocket. It was almost as consistent as someone calling him. But it was Franky spam texting Luffy over the bike. It had gotten towed to Franky's shop, Sabo made sure that's where both Ace's and Luffy's bike got towed.

No one thought to tell Franky or Iceberg that though. Instead, they got a call from the towing company and Iceberg made Franky deal with it. That's as much as Luffy read before the doctor said he was free to go. But now Franky was still texting him. Luffy could talk to Franky about the bike later though.  Despite how early it was, he should still be able to visit Ace soon.

Sabo had said that Ace's surgery had gone well but he still hadn't woken up from it. Sabo said it was also possible that Ace could slip into a coma and that made Luffy nervous. But Sabo said the doctors were expecting him to wake up from it. Luffy knew Ace would wake up and he'd be all better in no time!

Luffy finished signing the papers he needed to in order for him to be officially checked out from the hospital. He handed the clipboard back to the nurse and looked over at Sabo, who was a few paces behind him.

"Did Torao come by at all?" Luffy asked as Sabo started to lead the way to Ace's room. "I thought he was going to come by our house once I got back from riding with Ace." It only made sense given the circumstances.

"How come?" Sabo asked.

"He texted me while I was gone and asked me to let him know when I got back from Egypt," Luffy explained. "I thought he wanted to see me or something." Luffy shrugged.

"Oh..." Sabo trailed off. He bit the inside of his cheek, recalling what Ace told him about Luffy and Law. There wasn't much Sabo could do about that whole mess. One thing Sabo knew for sure was that he didn't want anything to happen between Law and Luffy until Law was clean again. And even then, Sabo wasn't sure how he felt about it.

He had too much to worry about to dwell on it now. So Sabo opted to tell Luffy the truth. There was no point in lying to him. And no reason to lie to him.

"Law's here," Sabo said.

"He is!?" Luffy grinned and the excitement in his voice was very obvious. "How come he didn't come to visit me!?" Law wasn't there last night, before or after the X-Ray and Sabo didn't say anything about Law stopping by.

"Because he's a patient," Sabo said, trying to keep the anger out of his voice. Or was it frustration? Sabo didn't know anymore. Either way Luffy didn't seem to pick up on it. Or if he did he didn't bring any attention to the fact.

"Wh—" Luffy started to say, stopping in the middle of the hall while Sabo continued on. "What happened to Torao?"

Sabo looked back at Luffy with a heavy sigh. "He overdosed, Lu. Do you want to go see him? He's probably being released right now, or soon. They kept him overnight to make sure he was okay."

"I—" Luffy frowned. Law overdosed? Luffy had almost forgotten that Law had a drug problem before. But remembered that Law was clean, or at least that's what he said that first night he came back into town. "I didn't know Torao was addicted again..."

"Neither did I," Sabo said with a deep sigh filled with frustration and exhaustion that brought tension to the air they breathed. After a short pause, Sabo spoke again, "Do you want to him or Ace first?"

Luffy frowned. He didn't think Sabo would ask him something like that. "Ace."

Sabo said that Law was being released soon anyway, which meant he was okay and he'd be able to see Law later. Ace wasn't though. And Luffy wanted to be there when Ace woke up.
