The four members of I.M.P were in the palace's armory, prepping for their raid on Prince Henri's castle. Blitzo had told everyone to be ready in any way possible, loading them with whatever they might need. Each of the imps were armed to the teeth and supplied enough for weeks if need be.

"This is gonna be tough, but we can do it." Blitzo was telling them. "I want everyone at their best, understood?"

"Yes sir!" Millie said.

"Understood." Moxxie nodded.

"We've got your back boss-man." Brenden said giving a thumbs up.

"Good. I'm glad to have you guys with me. I can't think of a better team."

The sound of the armory door opening and closing alerted them and the four mercenaries turned to see Prince Stolas followed by an irate captain of the guard.

"I am totally against this! What would we do if something were to happen?" The captain asked angrily.

"A lord's purpose is to do what is necessary, and I am going to rescue my daughter." Stolas shot back.

"If we lose the entire family, we'll have no leaders!" the captain stated.

"No!" Stolas shouted. He turned to his captain and put a hand on his shoulder. "You and the rest of my court can lead in our absence. It's your job and ultimate goal if something were to happen to us." he explained in a gentler tone.

"Your majesty... I, I will do what I can in your stead." The captain nodded. "I ask though that you will be careful."

"Of course captain. Don't worry about me."

"That's my job sire." the guard said with a smile. He looked over at the four imps before he left. "Protect him with your lives." he said to them.

Blitzo nodded back before the captain turned and left. Then turning to Stolas he asked, "What do you need to get ready?"

"I'm not too sure." Stolas admitted. "I was hoping you could help me with that."

Blitzo nodded. "M&M, get the prince situated." he ordered.

"Yes sir." Moxxie said.

"Right this way your majesty!" Millie said cheerfully.

Kirin and Loona stepped through the portal and out onto the rocky hills that overlooked the black colored fortress in the distance. Despite their wounds the two of them had summoned a portal to the far west into the heart of Tartarisian territory. Several miles away in a wide plain a small city sprawled on either side of a river that flowed from two waterfalls. These falls cascaded down the side of a large, jagged mountain capped with snow. It dominated the plain and was home to a massive black rock fortress built into the very side of the peak.

"That's our target." Lord Kirin said, pointing across the valley to the mountain citadel.

"That'll be a tough nut to crack." Loona said with a grim and determined look on her face.

Kirin nodded. "It will. Luckily there are only two of us and I know a way in."

Loona looked over at the masked prince beside her. "How'd you manage that?" she asked.

"Espionage. It's a good tool for understanding your enemies." he answered her with a small smile.

"Well then let's get going. You lead the way."
