Chapter 2: Friend

I know there isn't much 'ship' in this yet, but we're getting there. Honestly, I am making a lot more progress on this than my other stories. Anyway, let's go!

Bakugo's POV

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked the girl. I had pretty much no idea what I was saying. The words for some reason just came out of my mouth. "You look really warm," I told her. "I-I'm fine," she eventually managed to stutter. She didn't look fine to me, but why was I worrying about her? It wasn't my problem she wasn't okay anyway. Eventually, I felt her forehead, which was really warm, and told her, "You can't be okay. It feels like you're running a really high temperature." I could tell she was getting warmer by the second.

Aoi's POV

What the Hell is wrong with me? Speak to him Aoi, don't just stand there! He's gonna think you're a complete Idiot! I thought to myself. "Hey, are you okay?" the boy asked. "You look really warm," he said. "I-I'm fine," I responded. Who was I kidding? Of course I wasn't fine! I felt my face get warmer as he came closer. When he placed his hand on my forehead, I almost screamed. "You can't be okay.  It feels like you're running a really high temperature," he told me. "U-umm... I-I..." I said, trying to tell him that I'd probably be fine. "You should probably get to the nurse." He finally told me. "O-Okay..." I stuttered, not refusing.

Bakugo's POV

"Hey, Kacchan, why have you been avoiding that nice girl, Aoi, lately?" I heard someone ask. I turned around, and Deku and IcyHot were standing behind me. "You were acting really nice to her on the first day here," Deku said to me. "Uhh... Why are you concerned about it?" I shot back at him. Ever since the first day at U.A., I've felt something weird every time I look at her, or any time she gets mentioned. Then, I heard someone else walk up behind me. "Umm... H-hello?" The voice kind of squeaked. I... I recognize that voice... But from Where? I wondered. I turned around and... It was her! "Umm.. Hi! Oh, um, sorry, were you talking to your friends?" she said. I was frozen in the spot. "Kacchan, are you okay?" Deku asked me. I snapped out of it, and shot back at the girl, "These aren't my friends." "Oh, um, okay," she said. "Honestly, we should leave these two alone for now. Maybe Bakugo can actually make a real friend for once," Icyhot said to Deku. "I Heard that!" I shouted back at them. "I'm Aoi. Aoi Chikara!" the girl said after a couple of minutes. "And you are...?" "Uhh.. I'm Katsuki Bakugo," I replied. "Hey just wondering, what's you're quirk? It's probably really cool! Can I see what It is please?" she asked faster than I could understand. I eventually figured out what she was saying, and made some small explosions. "Whoa, that was really cool. How did you do that?" she asked. This girl sure is asking a lot about me... it's almost a little suspicious... I thought. I responded to her anyway, saying, "My sweat is Nitroglycerin. I can make explosions out of it." "Wow, that's so cool!!" she said, admiring the small explosions. "My quirk is nowhere near as cool as yours..." she told me. "Oh really?" I taunted. "Show me it then." "Uhhmm... W-WHAA?!" she said, surprised. "But I might accidentally hurt you. That's literally the only thing I don't like about my quirk! I hurt people too easily..." "It must be a pretty powerful quirk then... of course, you still wouldn't be able to beat me with it," I kept taunting her. "Come on. FIGHT ME!" "Umm... alright..." she said quietly. I charged towards her at my full speed, but I suddenly stopped. I noticed that she was grabbing my arm. What the Hell is she doing? I thought. Just then, she started swinging me back and forth, my body slamming against the ground every couple of seconds. Then, BAM. I hit the roof and fell to the ground, unconscious. I woke up about a minute later, and Aoi was hovering over me. "Oh my God. I'm so sorry! Thank God you're okay, though. I thought I had killed you there for a second!" she said. I could tell she was worried, but why? Why is she so worried about me?  I thought. She gently sat me up." You are okay, right?" she asked me. I didn't respond, because I was so in shock of how close we were to each other. I never really realized how beautiful she is until now... And that quirk of hers was really powerful... I thought. "Katsuki, I asked if you were okay?" she repeated. "I'm fine," I told her, my face still red from being so close to her. "What did you say you're quirk was again?" I took her a minute to respond. "......Strength enhancement..." She finally said. "Do you need help getting up?" she asked. "Like I said, I'm fine," I said, trying to get up. Every bone in my body was extremely sore. "Well, see you again sometime I guess!" she said to me, cheerfully. There was something about her... The way she talked... Her adorable smile... That made me feel kind of safer than usual, I guess.

"Hey Bakubro, Kirishima told me about your 'new friend'!" Kaminari said to me. "Yeah!" Kirishima confirmed. "I was in the hall earlier, and I saw you hangin' out with her, Bakubro. Wasn't it that girl, Aoi? The one who doesn't use her quirk?" "I know why she doesn't use her quirk..." I muttered. "What'd ya say, Bakubro? I couldn't hear ya," Kaminari stated. "Nothing. And she's not my friend, Shitty Hair," I lied. "If you say so, Bakubro," He said. "Hey, what even is her quirk, anyway?" "She doesn't like to talk about it, so I'm not telling you guys," I told them. "You're not actin' like you normally do, Bakubro. Something wrong?" Kirishima asked. "I'm fine," I told him. I always got a weird feeling whenever I was around Aoi, and it was hard to hide it.  had never felt before. What was that feeling?

Okay!! Another chapter down! That one ended up being way longer than the last chapter, and it took longer to write than I expected, too. I really enjoyed writing this chapter too, though. Hopefully the next part will be out in the next few days. Go Beyond, Plus Ultra!!
