8- Breaking the distance

A/N: Hey guys, Casey here! Again, sorry for the delay of stories, I'm really trying to come up with ideas for these one shots so please be patient with me. Anyways, this was a spur at the moment idea so I hope you guys enjoy! Happy reading!

Y/n's POV

You were up late one Friday night on your laptop listening to music and chatting with your online friend that you have known for quite some time now. His name is Ethan, Ethan Nestor,  and lives in California. You guys met through a friend's discord server and you guys decided to talk more and get to know each other out of the server.

E= Ethan Y= You

E: Wyd?

Y: Nm hbu?

E: Same, just here with Spenc, and I'm bored lol. You wanna call?

Y: Sure

Before you can tap the video chat icon you already have an incoming video call from Ethan, and of course you pick up.

"Hey!" You greet him happily as you smile and wave.

"Hey, N/n!" Ethan smiled and waved back. He was there in his living room chilling on the couch with Spencer in his lap. You, were on your bed as comfy as you could be, wearing leggings with a sports bra (if you wear bras) and a baggy hoodie. You have your hair down naturally as you already took care of it earlier. 

"How's it been over there in Cali, Eef?"

"Eh, same old same old. Just have been streaming on twitch, getting things for the new house, nothing new."

He sighed as he pet Spencer.

"How about you, Y/n?"

"Nothing new for me, just here in my home in y/s (your state)."

"I bet we wouldn't be so bored so often if we lived closer to each other. Even if we were bored then, we could be bored together."

You laughed a little as that last part slipped out of your mouth.

"Wait, Y/n, imagine what it would be like if we could see each other everyday? If you were here I could show you around Cali, we could spend time together, I could introduce you to my friends, there's so much we could do!"

"Heh, yeah, you're right. It would be awesome."

You and Ethan talked for quite some time, but then you thought of something to surprise him.

"Hey, Ethan, can you do me a favor?"

"Sure, Y/n, what's up?"

"Send me your address, I want to send you something!"

  Ethan nodded and did so. Of course he didn't think anything of it but you were going to surprise, and visit him in LA.

Soon the call ended and you started planning. For the next two weeks you were off of work, and the next available flight was Saturday at 6:00 AM from the airport in your hometown to the LAX Airport. You got up and started packing your clothes and charging all your devices so you would have everything you need while you were gone.
