I lost a lover to desire
I lost a lover to a fire
I lost a lover to a killer
I lost a lover to intoxication
I lost a lover to suicide
I lost a lover to nature
I lost a lover to disease
I lost a lover to my own two hands
Oh, how cynical I truly am
Oh, how many lives I have lived
And many lives taken
Oh, faith, the strings you pull
So hauntingly
