"Mom, we literally just bought my books and I'm missing one!" I called into the house as I threw pillows off the sofas. We went to Diagon Alley not too long ago and bought all my school stuff. I have every book I need except for the one I really want.
"Which book?" My mom asks as she comes into the now destroyed living-room.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, you know how much I wanted that book! Newt Scamander is one of the best people in history!" I sighed dreamily as I thought about how cool Newt really was. Listen, I do not like him he is so old right now I just think he's freaking awesome.
"Okay, okay, we'll find it! But if you can't find it in the next ten minutes we're leaving it," she said as she walked into the kitchen. I groaned and ran over to the bookshelf. How could I have lost it? Then, out of the blue, a house elf popped in front of me.
"AH!" I screamed as I threw a book at it.
"Ouch," it grumbled as it rubbed it's head.
"Is everything okay?" My mom asked from the kitchen.
"Everything's fine, Mom! I... um... dropped a book on my foot!" I hoped she would buy that. One moment, then another.
"Stop getting hurt!" She finally called and I sighed with relief. Then I turned back to the house elf.
"Are you okay? I'm sorry," I said as I knelt down to check the bump on his head. Or, I assumed it was a he.
"Dobby is fine, Ms. Storms, but I have came to give you this." He hands me a newspaper with my fathers name circled.
"What is this? I've already seen it, that's my dad." I rip the newspaper from his hands and ripped it into fourths and throwing it away in a trashcan by the bookshelf.
"No! Ms. Storms should not have done that." He shook his head as his already wide eyes grew bigger.
"Why not?" I fold my arms across my chest and stare down at the house elf.
"Because there was something inside! It just happened to be that your father's name was circled," he quickly defended.
"Okay, what was inside?" I asked sternly. Before Dobby could answer my mom came in with my book.
"Where you talking to someone?" She asked as she put the book in my bag.
"Thank you! Where was it?" I ran over and took the book back out of the bag to pet the cover. Sure I was weird, but I loved my new book. We barely had enough school money left over to buy it.
"For some reason it was under the sink." I turn back to where the house elf was only to see that he was gone.
"I don't know why it would've been there," I snorted as I safely returned it to my book bag. But I felt like it had something to do with that weird house elf. What was he trying to give me? Why was he there? Who sent him?
All I know is I feel like I'm going to see him again.

"Bye, Mom!" I waved from the window on the Hogwarts Express. I sat back down and smiled at myself. I was finally going back to Hogwarts. My mom had triple checked I had everything before we left out the door then after we got out of the car she checked again. I felt like that was when something was going to get lost, when she took every book out and made sure I had every single one.
But, you gotta love her. No matter how crazy organized she is. I had a feeling I would be getting a lot of letters from her this year. If not, I know I'll be writing a ton.
