"Father? wha-what are you doing here?!?" tears strolled down her face. she couldn't believe what she was seeing. Her father who she missed so badly is inside the car.
"Come inside, I'll explain." he ordered in a gentle tone. She missed his voice so badly. It felt like an eternity.
With shaky hands she reached for the handle and opened the door, tears flowing down her face as she did. She sat down and saw her father up close. If only he knew how much she missed him he would never leave her again.
"I missed you Antoinette."
"Me too daddy." she sobbed as she wiped the tears off her tear-stained face using the back of her hand. The man grabbed a tissue box from the car's compartment in front of her and handed it to her.
"Here take this." he said with a gentle and soothing voice.
She took the box and took some tissue out of it, dabbing in on her tear-stained face. He wanted to hug her so badly. If only he wasn't driving the car he would wrap his arms around her as soon he saw her and never let go.
The car was silent aside from the sobbing girl inside it.
"Dad?" she asked with a shaky voice, breaking the silence.
"Yes Net?" she smiled at this. No one but her father called her that. She recalled getting so irritated before when her dad called her that and now she was longing for it.
"Why did you suddenly come home?"
He was thoughtful for a second, he scanned his mind for the right words to say. "There was an emergency." he said with a stern face.
Emergency? Her lips parted in shock. What emergency? Is it good or bad? She couldn't help but let her tears overflow once more.
"Shhh..." he comforted, "Don't worry, it's good news." he smiled warmly. How she missed that gentle smile of his.
"Thank heavens." he chuckled at this. He missed those words so badly. That was his daughter's favorite catch phrase.
He looked at her through the car's mirror, smiling like an idiot. "I like your outfit."
Her father was the only one who never judged her. He didn't care if she acted this way. She'll always be his daughter. If only all the people didn't judge her like her father, her life would he so much better.
She sobbed once more before she smiled, "Thanks dad."
Minutes passed before the car finally came to a stop. They finally arrived at their mansion. He pressed the car horn twice before the creaky big gate started to open, giving the car a way.
He drove into it as soon as it was fully opened and parked near the staircase, not inside their garage. Does that mean he'll immediately leave right after?
She didn't ask him. She wanted to be finally happy with her own family- even if it was just the two of them.
They went up the staircase and the door was opened. A number of maids greeted them as they entered. She passed by the maid she ditched last morning and she glared at her icily as Charlotte stuck her tongue out like a five year-old at her.
She shifted her attention to where her father was heading to-the dining room. They stepped inside to the extravagant huge dining room, little could believe that only one or two people ate in there.
