Kazuya Sasaki hated his new phone

Kazuya Sasaki hated his new phone. While simple instinct to others he struggled daily trying to control its interface. His Clan hadn't been a technologically advanced one, only concerned with the strength that they could produce from their own hands, and so electronics were never necessary or thought of.

He received the damned thing on his first day of school (it was a thoughtful gift from his mothers, really, but months later and he still hadn't gotten used to it). Apparently most (if not all) people had a phone of some kind, and if Kazuya truly wanted to lead a normal life then normal school and fitting in with a normal phone was the first step.

He wasn't sure how normal it could be when he had only four contacts on it. Mio, obviously; Michi, obviously; Megumi, obviously; and Gojo (he had thrown a fit over that one but it was for the better). Three out of the four were powerful jujutsu sorcerers and then Michi had married into a powerful jujutsu sorcerer clan so— again, how normal could it be?

He just had to remind himself that it would be a lengthy process, one he might not be able to see the end of himself. But if it meant his great grandkids could get a break then he would do it.

Now, if he could type fast enough to respond to his boyfriend today...

megu: we can meet up today if you want? i'll be nearby on a mission.
kazu: Ok. 😕
megu: ?
kazu: Whqt are Emojis?
megu: haha i'll explain later. i should be wrapped up before 8pm.
kazu: Goodbye Megu

Kazuya could barely click send due to his shaking. The tremor was purely out of frustration (seriously how did other people type on these small and sensitive keyboards?), and he had to put his phone in his pocket before he could begin to feel excitement. And oh boy did that excitement hit him like a truck.

It was only six in the morning when Megumi Fushiguro had sent the first text as Kazuya Sasaki was getting ready for a day at high school, and yet the blonde knew the anticipation would only build up until the moment they saw one another. The two tried to see each other weekly (poor Satoru had to escort his boy around so much nowadays) and yet it was barely enough for them. Even after being with each other every day since elementary school it wasn't enough, especially not now. Not after their relationship had finally changed in a different direction.

Kazuya just wanted a damn kiss sometimes and that was kinda hard when his smooch buddy was off killing ghosts and shit. Megumi had been a bit too busy with that lately and it was completely out of his liking. They hadn't seen in each other in... what?... two and a half weeks? A new record, honestly, one that Kazuya didn't ever want to beat again.
