"Aanvi." Ishaan called out as everyone walked inside the house. She was left behind as he jogged towards her.
"Are you fine?" He asked only to get a faint smile in return as she nodded in yes.
"I know you are lying. You can tell me." He softly said, his eyes holding the warmth as much as his words.
"Ishaan, I belong to a simple nuclear family while you have such a big family. How am I going to adjust in that environment? Its scaring me." She confessed, her deep brown eyes holding nervously as he stared at her and then nodded.
"Aanvi, It's completely going to be your decision but remember I am there for you. In each and every step, you will find me beside you. If you are getting second thoughts about this alliance, you can deny." He said smiling softly and walked away.Unknowingly, a bad feeling enveloped his heart at the prospect of her denying. Somewhere, in just the span of a day, he had planned his future with her.
"Ishaan, I don't want our engagement to be too lavish." She shouted from behind making him stop in his tracks as she turned towards her. She walked to him, mirth dancing in her eyes.
"Aren't you too soft hearted?" She asked, biting her lips.
"Maybe. But trust me I can turn stone hearted when needed too." Winking at her, he said.
She can't let go of such a gem of a man for her stupid insecurities. Her brother had investigated properly and he was a nice man. Humans have flaws and he too has them. She will accept everything thrown her way if it means getting this beautiful man in return.
"Let's go." He spoke after silence enveloped them as she nodded. He gestured to her to walk first as he walked behind her with a smile playing on his lips.
"Wait, we have still not exchanged our number." Ishaan said, stopping her all of a sudden making her shake her head as she took his phone typing her number down at it. He made a missed call on her phone. She nodded, showing her phone as it vibrated.
It felt so weirdly beautiful. A different kind of warmth and affinity hit their deserted heart as they looked at each other. It was all so different yet amazing.

Palming her face, she was leaning onto the window looking outside. The weather was cloudy. She had her mouth pursed into a pout while the speaker was playing baarish song.
It had been a week since the last meeting between the family. The engagement was decided by just some close relatives and family members. Aanvi and Ishaan had exchanged some voice calls and texts.
Ishaan was a flirt sometimes. She had to agree but he was a very careful person regarding health. He will always have his food timely and encourage her to have them too. She felt nice when the care came out from someone other than her immediate family and friends.
She mostly felt shy during the voice calls. It came naturally to her. Whenever Meera Or Aditya teased her with his name, she would furiously blush but still roll her eyes to show her nonchalant behaviour.
She loved how he showed interest in her talks and how he tried knowing her more. She smiled remembering how he had sent Pizza when unknowingly she blurted out that she is craving for it and her parents are always strict with her diet.
His family had even sent shagun at her house and her clothes which she had to wear in engagement followed by her family sending them gifts and his clothes for engagement.
"Aanu,Can you handle Aaru for sometime?" Meera said in a tired voice as she entered with Aarush who was making baby voices and looked super active.
Nodding at Meera eagerly, Aanvi took little Aarush in her arms who happily went to her as Meera told Alexa to play Baby Shark. The baby poem always made Aarush excited.
"Baby Shark doo doo doo doo." Making him sleep on the bed, Aanvi said in a song song manner as she started enacting it perfectly. Aarush giggled loudly, clapping his hands and throwing his little feet in the air.
"Doo doo doo doo." He said as he saw Aanvi shaking her hips and pouted adorably showing his hands to her making her throw her head back and laugh out loud as she took him in her arms snuggling into him as she peppered open mouth kisses all over his face making the little one burst into laughter.
Palming her face with his small palms, he giggled cutely as she pouted at him. He showed her his toothless smile snuggling into her as she sat along with him on the bed.
At the same moment, her phone rang and a smile came on her lips looking at the caller id.
"Hello." She said, picking it up asking Alexa to lower the voice.
"Hii. What are you doing?" He asked from the other side shuffling through some pages and feeling it, her heart burst with happiness. Even after being so busy, he still took out his time to call her. It was enough to make her heart dance in delight.
Aarush tried to snatch the phone from her making him chuckle listening to how cutely she was scolding the baby.
"Aaru, baby no. Bad manners. No. " She continued saying and kept the phone away, keeping it on speaker.
"I am playing with Aaru. What are you doing?" She asked.
"A meeting popped up and now I will be leaving to check on a site." He replied back.
"You had some snacks?" She asked, eyeing the time which showed six in the evening.
"No. I will directly have dinner." He replied, shuffling through the paper. She bit her lips wanting to say something but refrained.
"Boo boo." He listened from the other side, making him chuckle at the adorable voices Aarush made.
"I will have something Aanvi. Don't worry. I will hang up the call now. I need to leave. Bye" He said and listening to her, hung up the call.
He smiled while hanging up the phone. He started feeling attracted to her. Her shyness, her simplicity, her voice, her love for her family and everything about her seem fascinating to him. She was a careful speaker and he spoke his heart out to his loved ones. Though, he spoke less in his professional life but he was completely opposite in his life. She was a combination of mature and childish woman.
He shook his head as a goofy smile appeared on his face. In the past week, his mind will randomly think about her. Taking his car keys, he went away to continue with his work.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter. It basically deals with how their relationship is progressing at the stage of friendship. The next will be engagement and after that, I assure you guys are going to enjoy the book through. Do deal with it for some more time as I need to give the space to them. I can't just jump into something.
