We stayed at the restaurant for way to long but got kicked out after a while for 'disturbing the peaceful atmosphere'. Which was code for 'Niko pestered the neighbouring table for so long that they spoke to the manger and got us banned from entering the establishment for a whole week '

"I don't know what their problem was? I was just trying to make friends." Niko tried to defend himself.

We were relocating to the hotel bar to get a few drinks before calling it a night.

"Dude you asked the women about her sex life right in front of her children and husband" I laughed at him.

"Her poor husband nearly choked on his drink bro" Tommi joined me in making fun of his friend.

"People are so uptight these days. I swear." Niko shook his head with a grin.

"You literally told her she looked like a cougar and then called her husband a vanilla pick me boy! What did you expect?" Casey chimed in.

"Youre' seriously gonna tell me that I'm wrong? You guys could have stopped me you know?" Niko tried to reason.

"Why would we when it is much more fun watching you embarrass yourself." I was full on laughing at the poor boy.

We found a free table in the corner of the room and settled down while Joel went to the bar to get us all a round of beers.

The constant chatter of conversation around us would normally be overwhelming for me, but not tonight. I felt strangely at ease in the company of my new friends. I wasn't comfortable in social situations normally so this new found calmness around the Finns was strange to say the least.

Riding the high of my new found social competence I left the table and joined Joel at the bar. He was speaking to Victoria, the gorgeous girl that I met last night and the pretty, tattooed guy that briefly spoke to me yesterday.

"Fancy seeing you here darling." I greeted her with a charming smile.

"Lia! I was just telling my bandmates here about the beautiful british girl I met last night." Victoria flirted right back.

"I didn't know you meet Ella yesterday too." I joked. Joel snorted at my bad joke while the others looked slightly confused.

"Anyways" I turned to her companions "I don't think we met yet. Hello, my name is Lia and I'm one of the UK representatives."

"It's nice to meet you. I'm Thomas, that's Ethan and I think you already met Damiano last night." The blond boy with the mullet replied.

The long haired boy waved shyly while staying silent. Damiano, the pretty boy who lend me his lighter last night, kissed my hand with a charming smile that would make most people swoon. I on the other hand tensed up. I felt so uncomfortable in that moment, I was never a big fan of physical contact with strangers.

"Don't mind Ethan, he's not that confident in his English speaking abilities." Damiano explained while still holding onto my hand. He was wearing a lot of chunky rings and rocked painted nails better than anyone I knew.

I pulled my hand from his grasp with an awkward smile.

"It's no problem at all Ethan. Just know that I would never judge your linguistic ability's especially since I'm not even remotely fluent in anything other than English myself." I laughed.

It's true I never excelled in the language department, that was always more Ellas thing. I had a knack for science but that was it. I took German in school but dropped it after a while. All those grammar rules were too much for me. It also didn't help that you could say the same thing in about 500 different ways.

"Would you guys like to join us for a drink?" I asked the Italians.

"We were just on our way back to our rooms but another time yes?" Ethan said in a heavy Italian accent. It was quite charming.

"Of course! Have a good night then." Joel told them. He grabbed one halve of our order that finally arrived and made his way back to our friends.

"Goodnight tesoro." Damiano gave me on last disarming smile that made me blush a little. He winked at me, turned around and left to catch up with his friends.

I grabbed the other bottles and went back to my friends.

The heated conversation stopped as soon as I arrived.

"So Lia did you flirt with the blond one again?" Casey asked with a shit eating grin.

I held up my middle finger while taking a sip of my beer.

Joel chimed in: "Actually Damiano did most of the flirting and Lia here was just awkwardly avoiding any eye contact with him the whole time. It was a train wreck honestly." He seemed very amused with the situation.

"That does sound like Lia, She was always bad at talking to attractive people." Ella chuckled.

"Not just attractive people, anyone really" I send a sarcastic smile her way. Trying to cover up my embarrassment with humour.

Ah yes, having humour as a coping mechanism is just great.

"So you do think they are attractive?" Ella had a conspiratorial grin on her face. Probably already planning to get me laid by one of the Italians.

"Please don't try to play match maker again. You know how that turned out last time." Casey tried to reason with her.

"Yeah I don't need any more trauma from another failed relationship" I muttered to myself hoping that our new friend didn't hear me. I didn't want them to think i was a traumatised little girl.

My last long term relationship didn't turn out too well. That's what you get for dating a guy with untreated narcissistic tendencies, who was also really good at lying.

Just a shit ton of fun for the whole family!
