I heard laughing while walking to my locker, No yelling.  It sounded like Violet but I couldn't understand her.  As I got closer I saw a group of girls huddled around a locker laughing their heads off until I was only a few feet away. Everyone went quiet and I saw Violet give me one glare and hurried to get some pictures off her locker. After that she ran, I ran after her because I mean she seemed hurt and it had been a few weeks of knowing her so I followed and found her staring at the field right outside the school. " Hey class starts in like seven minutes so better hurry," I said. She did not say anything so I got closer and saw a tear on her face. I wanted to wipe it away but knew it was too soon. " You know," she started, " I thought this school would be different and before you ask, I have had to move schools every year because of my brother. I finally get my school to shine in and I get teased about some boys' numbers that I need for a project, not any other reason".  I sat there for a little while then said, " we better get inside before we get a tardy because I don't think a girl who wants to shine needs to have a tardy on her record." She smiled and looked at me with a bit of happiness in her eyes and walked away. My stomach did this weird flippy thing that I did not know what was from it whatever it was I knew I would soon find out.
