“So where are we going out to eat?” I questioned.
“I always like to go to Olive Garden after my games if that’s cool.” He said.
“Sounds great to me but that seems like a pretty classy restaurant after a baseball game.” I teased.
“well if I must confess when I was younger my mom took me to olive garden after my first game because she was running late to her office meeting and my dad couldn’t get off work so I got toted there. The tradition just kind of stuck. Let’s just say I’ve eaten a lot of olive garden in my life.” He laughed.
Dinner was perfect. We ate tons of food and talked about al kind of stuff. Baseball, school, grades, and random things about each other. As we pulled up to my front door at the end of the night it as the first time I was nervous all night. He walked over, opened up the car door, and walked me up to my porch.
“I had a pretty damn good time tonight princess.” He said as a playfully glared at him.
Then finally he reached up with his hand and pushed my hair back. I stared up at him and closed my eyes as he bent done. However his lips never touched my lips but instead my cheek where he then pulled away, winked, and wished me a goodnight. What a freaking tease. I knew it was to good to be true. A guy like him would never go for dorky, ol’ me. I walked inside and laid down, a perfect night ruined.
