I sighed as I texted Adgar about whats all happening. He didn't seem surprised although he did say, 'wow you're going somewhere out of state without me for once, I'm sure it'll end up very well.' I took that on a whole other note of sarcasm.
The two of us texted nonstop until Julian knocked on my door, signaling that it is time for me to leave.
'I'll text you when I land. Bye Adds.'
'Bye Cyrus. I really hope you learn something too.'
'Mmm I'll try lol.'
'You better try hard. I'm looking forward to see a brand new Cyrus when you get back.'
'Yeah yeah yeah, gtg now. Love ya.'
'Love ya too you fucking rat.'
With that, I stuck my phone, charger and headphones into my suit case. No point in using it since I'll be on a plane, far from any kind of fucking WiFi for my Spotify and I'm too lazy to download an MP3 player.
"Here's your plane ticket." My dad said as I got into the back of the black SUV with tinted windows. I grabbed the ticket as the driver got in while fixing his tie.
"France?! I've never been there!" I smiled. My dad stood there as if debating on something before pulling out a small stack of one hundreds.
"$600 in total. I believe he'll help buy things along the way so all you really need it for is yourself. Use it wisely please." He said while handing it to me. I silently took it with a nod before stuffing it into my bathroom supplies baggy in the suitcase that'll be covered by my clothes.
"Thank you." I whispered. He smiled before walking to the drivers side door.
"Be careful with him Jedrek, bring him to the airport safely. When you land please have him text me." My dad said making Jedrek nod.
Jedrek is my personal guard and I guess, now my personal driver. He's quiet, although I can tell when I make jokes he holds in his laughs.
"Have a good time and whatever happens, I'm sorry." He says before waving. "I love you son!" He yelled. And for the first time in forever, I saw my dad cry..
My mom ran out of the house with tears as well and a bag of what looked like peanut butter cookies.
"Here you go, I made them last night for you. Your favorite." She smiled as she handed me the bag of them. I wanted to cry too but I knew if I cried I'll look like a baby.
"I love you guys." I mumbled before hugging them both. They both kissed my cheek before backing up and closing the door with a wave.
I watched as I drove off. They stood there waving and crying as I watched until they were no longer in sight and the highway became the new view.
"Is France cool?" I asked half way to the airport while staring out of the window.
"Yeah, if you know French. Otherwise you're really going to struggle on understanding things." Jedrek said as he made a right turn. I just nodded before going back to looking out the window.
An hour or two went by when we finally arrived at the very full airport. This is already giving me anxiety.
Jedrek found a parking space for reserved.
"Your father will be arriving with your mother. One of them will take this SUV back so make sure you grab everything you need." He said as he got out. He opened my door before closing it once I stepped onto the ground.
He opened the trunk. His suitcase and my suitcase laid there all lopsided. I grabbed mine first, slinging it over my shoulder as he grabbed his.
"Ready?" He asked while closing and locking the door. He stuffed his keys in his pocket as we began walking.
"How are they going to get in if you have the keys?" I asked while passing by a few people as we made our way inside.
"Your parents made four spare keys for every car." He smiled. I nodded as we took a seat and waited for our plane.
After a long hour of waiting they finally called our plane. I followed anxiously behind Jedrek. I was nervous, very nervous and scared. Who will I meet? What will happen?
Questions flooded my mind until a lady cleared her throat. I looked up to see her smiling.
"Passport." She said. I nodded before handing her the passport in my hand. She looked at it before stamping it and handing it back. I then followed Jedrek onto the plane where we sat by a window. Happily.
"Ready for eleven hours of annoying people and a small space?" I asked as he tossed mine and his suitcases up into the loft above us.
He chuckled a little before sitting next to me and buckling. I did the same before looking straight out the window. Honestly, it is a good day to fly.
It's been three hours into the flight and I want to already drown myself. I feel motion sick and all I want to do is lay in bed and cry. I don't know how Jedrek does it but I'm starting to think he's magical or some shit. There's no way you can ride a plane without getting sick. And there's no road to watch.
"I feel like I'm going to die before we get there." I groaned as I rested my head on the window.
"Here, try this." He said handing me a sour looking candy. Where the fuck did he get candy from?! Where's mine?!
I grabbed the piece of candy before tossing it in my mouth. My face scrunched up as the sourness left the candy, letting it sit on my tongue. It made my tongue feel numb as I sucked on it. I mean, it sorta helped.
Six hours hours later I'm sitting here listening to little kids scream and cry as parents tried to shut them up. If I had a kid and they were being this obnoxious, you best know them flight attendants will be finding a baby on the plane after everyone has emptied it.
"Please fucking rip my ears off." I groaned. Jedrek chuckled as he threw on earphones. You get rewarded when you aren't lazy.
