" hey - catch. "

The ball was caught in the hands of a college student who was in need of a bargain. Just something to pay the rent she hasn't paid for this month- which was a pain in the ass.

She looked up at the ball she caught, noticing it was a small yellow ping pong ball. A small grin plastered on her face, looking towards the beanie worn on the head of a idiot. The idiot that has stuck with her since the first day of her high school freshman year. Yes; Alex.

" Nice throw Al . What brought you here anyway ? You know my neighbors are loud as hell and I don't think you want to meet them again. " she asked, having flashbacks of what happened three months ago. Yeesh.

" Can I not visit a friend ? Surly there is no law saying I can't ?" He replied, wearing his grin that was ever so — cliche- Well to her at least.  " And yes. Your dorm neighbors... are quite something else. Has Mellisa broke up with that one dude she was with ?" He asked, asking about ( y/n ) 's neighbor, Mellisa. She was. . . someone you would see at hotel bar stand. Hooking up with the boys who didn't give two flips about their careers.

" Oh Alex , he was definitely a one night stand. He wasn't gonna be with her in the next two hours of that night. Why do you ask ?" She replied. As she turned around to face her fellow friend. She was holding two red party cups, both filled with grape juice. ( y/n )'s gaze on Alex changed quickly. Noticing the stripped button up top he was wearing. The two top buttons slightly unbuttoned, and his silver chain necklace she gave him last year for his birthday. He also had on some black wear pants. Dressy pants to be more precise.

" Just wanted to know, that all. " He noticed how she was staring for a while, so he comments on to it. " Like what you see, poker face ? " The little nickname being back memories of senior year of high school.  " Oh shut up, Alex. What's with the fancy up anyway ?" She asked, laying the cup down next to him. The table laying flat against the soul of it. She pulled a chair for herself, as the said male did the same.

" Oh, just gonna go visit a few friends later. " He replied. She simply nodded her head in acknowledgment. " Your 'gaming' friends ? Hm ? " She asked, holding back such a laugh. He rolled his eyes slightly, until letting a out a slight chuckle. Just looking at her made him flutter. It wasn't even that funny— it wasn't funny at all. So why ? He doesn't even know himself.

" Sure ( y/n ) . My gaming friends. Remember Karl ? " He asked, taking a sip of the mixed drink, the smell of purple fruit came to him. " I know lots of Karl's, gonna have to be more specific. " She started to play with the cup, looking up at the gamer. Once in a million years, she wanted to play video games for a living. But of course, her mom didn't really approve of that. That's why she would always go over
to Alex's place to play games. He played Minecraft a lot, like a lot. So she kinda got the hang of it. But life took other turns and now she rarely gets to play games.

" Karl Jacobs. The one in Mr. Beast's video. " He hated that he had to use that as a example, but that's probably the only place she would know him from. ( y/n ) nodded her, noting that, she does indeed, know who Karl Jacobs was. " Didn't know you were friends with that kid. He seems nice on screen. " She took a sip of the red liquid, the cup becoming half full. He only shrugged his shoulders, his eyes half closed. " Must've been fate, I guess. Kinda like us. " He added, smiling.

" Oh really ? interesting you think that's our friendship. " She lets out a slight chuckle, staring into the dark orbs of the said male — For he only stated right back at her.

The air tensed up slightly. Both of them didn't say a word, not sure on how they came to situation. Until ( y/n ) said something to break the silence.

" Can you hook me up with your.. online thing ? "

His stare widen, a brow lifted ever so slightly.  " online thing ? You mean Twitch, right ? Geez ( y/n ), you sound like a grandma who hasn't seen technology in forever.. " he responded, getting a sigh from the other.  " You know what I mean, Alex. Can you ?" she asked again, less clear. He looked up at the ceiling, until taking another sip from his drink.

" I mean, it depends on what you are asking. If your asking for us to share my account - no. That's when you download Twitch, and make your account. See what I am saying ?" He asked. She squinted her eyes, confused. " uh, I guess ? All I want to know is how I can pay my rent this year. And considering you make so much off of this.. I want to try it too. " She responded. He slightly smiled, leaning against the table. " I see... well I can hook you up with Twitch. I can set you up first, and then it's up to you. The biggest question is ; what are you gonna do with the damn thing ? You gotta have some kinda thing to do on there. " He asked, looking towards her again.

She started to pounder at the idea, until thinking back at the years of ago — of that stupid block game that Alex was obsessed with. Getting on it let her creativity grow wild, so why not ? It couldn't hurt to try.

" Minecraft. You know, your block game. " She replied, smiling towards him. He got up from his seat, taking a step towards her. She dropped her smile when he didn't respond, slightly furrowed her brows. " Alex..?"

He then placed a hand on her shoulder, looking down at her, as she looked up at him. It was same tensed air again; suffocating the room. His dark orbs started to glow, as she stared into them. They use only grow dim— but now, they somehow changed the lighting of the tensed air.

" It's Quackity , poker face. That's what your gonna refer to me now. If you are gonna keep going on with this ; gotta make sure you don't screw up with the names. " He replied, wearing a grin on his face. She only nodded her head, as she wore a smile.

" Well, Aren't you gonna finish your drink, Quackity ? "
