Well, this is it! The Stains Beneath Our Skin has officially finished!

This story has a really special place in my heart, and I know not many readers have followed me all the way to the end, but it means so, so much to me that those of you who have enjoyed my story enough to follow it all this way.

So thank you to all of you! Thanks for commenting, thanks for voting, and most of all, thanks for reading, because god knows that's a commitment and kudos in itself, putting up with my lilac prose and Cas's drama and Cain's horrible decisions. I really hope you all got something from this story, and if not, I hope you enjoyed the ride!

As it goes, however, I don't think I'm quite ready to let it go yet...

I'm going to begin posting the prequel series to The Stains Beneath Our Skin!!

Set in Casper and Cain's first life, it's a serial novel from Cain's POV following his life beginning right after the apocalypse. It won't be only Casper & Cain featured in this novel, although the grand-arcing throughline is their big love story of how they found & fell for each other in the first place.

The prequel, "You'll be the Death of Me", will tell the story of Cain's relationship with Ella as well as with Casper, and strife and drama surrounding them and their apathetically dysfunctional friends - Levi, Jack, and a brand new character, Bunny.

I really hope you all check this out. It's a little lighter than Stains, a little brighter, but Cain & Cas are made for tragedy, and Cain hits it in a completely different way to Cas.

If any of you have read my book "Like Glue", this is actually the first act of the prequel in disguise as a novella, so some of it may look a little familiar!

I've already begun posting the prequel over on Tapas - link in the comments - but now I've finished Stains, I'll get it uploaded here too.

So this is the end of The Stains Beneath Our Skin, but for the rest of the universe, it's only the beginning! Make sure you keep an eye out for my prequel novel so you'll see when it begins posting.
