Everett stood behind Alora clipping the necklace into place, once he was finished she pushed her hair back as he walked now standing in front of her. "Obsidian?" Everett asked observing the pendant, "close, it's Onyx also known as Hematite" Alora brought her hand up wrapping it around the pendant.

She closed her eyes feeling the dark magic rush into her body, dark veins appeared from the tips of her fingers to her neck and head. Alora opened her eyes as the runs quickly disappeared, she put her hands up her palms facing each other. "Ostende mihi virtutem" a large glow erupted from between her palms blinding Everett causing him to look away. "What was that?" Everett asked once the glow faded, "it's a simple spell to show how much magic a witch has" Alora looked up smirking.

Alora and Everett sat in the car eating fries and milkshakes while Alora read from her mothers grimoire, she was so interested in the writing and symbols. She traced her fingers on some of them feeling the magic from the grimoire, she definitely felt the magic which ran in her veins like constant adrenaline.

"I can't believe it, i knew my mother was powerful but i didn't think she was this grand" Alora spoke as she skimmed the pages, "Alora" Everett said pointing certain pages sticking out of the back of the grimoire. Alora turned the pages flipping all the way to the back noticing the letters, "what is it?" Everett asked as he sat back down.

"My mother wrote me letters" she paused looking up at Everett, "i'm not the only Everdeen left" Alora breathed looking back down. "How is that possible?" Everett asked, "i'm not sure, i checked all the bodies everyone was dead except-" Alora paused looking up from the letters. "Except who?" Alora turned to him, "Regulus, my brother" Alora gave a shuddered sigh.

"I need your help, go out and see what the situation is around here, we'll be staying her for longer than i thought" Alora said to Everett, he gave a firm nod before getting out of the car "i'll let you know" he called before speeding away. Meanwhile Alora needed to learn this spell and learn it quick, she might even have to search for some help.

"Well?" Alora asked once Everett had returned from his trip, "there's a slight problem" Alora shook her head "well spit it out, what's wrong" Everett looked in her eyes hesitating. "It turns out your old friend is here with his family" Alora felt her breath hitch, she knew who he meant and his look only confirmed it. "Turns out a lot has happened, Orleans was almost burned to the ground because of some harvest witch" Alora recognized what ceremony he was talking about.

"Klaus is back to running this town" Alora scoffed, "well then i guess a mutual alliance is in our future" she sighed sitting back. "Next stop?" Alora turned to Everett, "the french quarter" he responded turning on the ignition.
