Billie and his boyfriend of three years were in their kitchen. It was 2 in the morning and they didn't plan on sleeping any time soon. Billie was sitting at the table in a pair of black sweats and his favorite pair of socks. They were grey mid lenght socks and they had cute little guitars all over them. Tre had gotten them for billie for his birthday a few months ago. Tre was standing at the counter, waiting for the kettle to heat up. He was just wearing boxers and Billie's, rather large, black Ramones shirt. He was making tea for the two of them, green tea to be specific. Billie had a thought pop into his head, for the last month or so he had been writing a song for Tre. He wanted to play it for him and then he was gonna propose to him. "Hey babe" he said getting Tre's attention, Tre turned his head to show he was listening but kept his eyes on the tea. "Hmm" he responded taking the little tea packs out of the paper envelope they were sealed in, dropping them into the two mugs. "I wanna show you something", Tre poured the hot water into the black and red mugs. He turned around both in hand. He placed one infront of billie, holding his as he sat on Billie's lap. "What is it you wanna show me, darling". Billie chuckled "well now you're gonna have to get up so I can go get it" Tre laughed and got up settling into the seat next to him.

Billie got up and went to their shared room, grabbing his favorite acoustic. He quickly went to their closet and pulled open his sock drawer. He fished around for a second before he felt the smooth, small wood box. Billie grabbed it and quickly stuffed it into his pocket. He closed the drawer and headed back to the kitchen, only to realize Tre had taken their tea and moved to the couch. Tre was sitting criss cross on the couch, slowly sipping his tea. Billie came and sat infront of him on the next cushion. "Oh did you write me a song" Tre cooed setting his tea down on the coffee table next to his boyfriend's, an excited look on his face. Billie chuckled as he strummed his guitar, making sure it was in tune. "Something like that". Tre gave his boyfriend his full attention. Billie was shaking, he hoped that Tre wouldn't notice. He started to strum the sort of poppy melody.

"Where can I find the city of shining light, in an ordinary world. How can I leave a buried treasure behind in an ordinary world"

Tre smiled already loving the song.

"The days into years roll by, it's where that I live until I die. Ordinary world."

Billie hummed still strumming, Tre could feel the tears starting to form.

"What would you wish if you saw a shooting star, in an ordinary world. I'd walk to the end of the earth, and afar. In an ordinary world, baby I don't have much, but what we have is more than enough, ordinary world"

A tear rolled down Tre's face, he looked at billie with nothing but true love. Billie started humming again while still strumming.

Billie hummed playing out the rest of the song. He strummed the final cord and looked up at Tre, he was crying. Billie put his guitar down and his boyfriend pulled him into a hug. "That was so beautiful, Billie" he gushed trying to stop crying. Billie pulled away from the hug and wiped Tre's tears, letting their foreheads rest on each other for a moment. "There is something else I wanted to show you too, it kinda goes with the song". Billie slipped his hand into his pocket. Tre looked at him slightly confused. "Well I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I think this is the perfect time" he chuckled. Billie got down on one knee infront of his boyfriend. Tre put his hand over his mouth in shock, "oh my god, billie". He continued, "Tre cool, will you make me the happiest man in the world and do me the honor of being my husband." "Yes" Tre shook his head starting to cry again. He let billie put the ring on his finger and pulled Billie into a passionate, soft kiss. His hands on the sides of his now husband's face, billie rested a hand on Tre's neck, kissing him back with the gentle yet burning passion and love he felt for him in that moment.

They pulled away and again rested their foreheads against each other. "I love you so much" Tre smiled, a few stray tears still making their way down his face. Billie wiped the tears from his new husband's face. "I love you so much more". They connected their lips again, wanting to live in that moment forever. Tre and Billie drank their tea in the living room, then went up to their bedroom. They spent the rest of the night, or early morning more like it. Cuddling and recalling all of the sweet memories they had made with each other over the years. So this is what true love feels like huh.
