"Ladies and gentlemen, we have just landed at Clark International Airport. Philippine Airlines welcomes you to Pampanga! For your safety, please remain seated with your seat belts fastened until the fasten seat-belt sign has been switched off. Please do not remove your carry-on baggage until the aircraft has stopped and the cabin door has been opened for you to deplane. Before deplaning, however, may we remind you to check your seating area for any items you might leave on board." The flight attendant announced again.

I clasped my hands when the airplane finally landed on the runaway. I decided to extend my flight last week after attending a seven-day business trip to Singapore because I wanted to explore more, or maybe, I was just creating dumb excuses for myself.

I took deep breaths as I tried to calm myself down. Joshua said Arden might be here today, or should I say, Captain? Joshua didn't lose his connection to Arden after all that had painfully happened.

I carried my luggage as I smiled at the flight attendants to thank them. Some guys tried to get my number, but I refused. No matter how many handsome or cute guys will come my way, no one can make my heart flutter again than him.

I slowly walked as I let my eyes wandered. I passed at the immigration, still looking around. Na-questioned pa nga ako sa kanila, kasi akala nila magnanakaw ako sa sobrang tingin nang tingin. After a moment, I went to the comfort room to look at my reflection, but instead of seeing my beauty, nakita ko na ang tanga-tanga ko! Umagang-umaga pa man din.

I was about to go home as I booked grab. But when I saw a familiar person, I knew deep inside that he was the one I was looking for.

My heart feels like bursting any time soon.

I didn't know what I was doing or thinking. I just kept walking and walking to his pace, still giving a distance to avoid seeing me. I reached outside the airport just by tailing him. I tensed when he stopped walking as I carefully hid behind the post.

Thank God he just pulled his phone from his pocket to answer a call!

"I'm outside na," he simply said. No matter how his voice changed, it still sounded like a comfort to me. He was wearing his uniform. Just looking at him made me happy. "You're here?"

I stopped hiding when he moved from his place. I kept my eyes locked on him, not minding my phone, which kept lighting up. I felt the cold breeze of December morning, and somehow it felt like home again. He was so near, yet so far

"Love!" I heard a loud voice coming in front of me. I looked at the girl who shouted. She kept waving her hand as she smiled, walking towards our pace.

My lips parted.

Maybe, I know where this is going.

"Autumn, why are you here?" Arden softly asked. My body was frozen as I witnessed how he carefully carried the girl's bag despite his luggage.

"Ay, putangina!" I surprisingly said when I saw an unlisted number calling me. "Ah, Grab po?" I said as I answered it.

Arden slowly pivoted and looked at me. He was surprised, and his gaze started to narrow. I looked back at him and saw his hand on hers. The girl he was with whispered something at him, which made Arden shake his head.

He didn't nod.

He just kept his gaze simple.

Like I wasn't part of his past.
