"Pwede pa naman natin maibalik yung paningin niya Mr. Conde. We can start the operation immediately," Dr. Tiu said.

I convinced Xsantal to perform her operation here instead of abroad.

"Then that's good."

"But unluckily, we don't have an eye donor now so we still could not perform the surgery. I also asked the other hospitals nearby and sadly, they also don't have an available eye donor because it's all already reserved for the patients in their respective hospitals," he added.

I just held Xsantal's hands tightly when we heard what he said.

"So, what's the plan now?" Xsantal asked."Let's just go to abroad. I'm sure that there are a lot of eye donors there, Zack."

"No, we still need to stay here. If you want to have a surgery abroad then you will need to wait some more time, so it is better if you'll have it here. I need to fix something here first before we can finally leave."

"Then I'll just wait," she said.

"Why did you change your decision? Are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's better to have my operation there and I can still wait for you," she said.

"Okay, let's go."

She smiled and I just kissed her forehead. Inalalayan ko naman siya papasok ng kotse.

"Can I ask you something, Zack?" Xsantal asked while I am driving the car.

"What is it?"

"I want to know more things about you. What kind of man are you, Zack?" She asked.

"Probably, I'm the man that you'll hate once you get to know me more. You might even call me a monster. When you see me, I may look a prince, but a monster inside."

"Why did you think so?"

"I did a lot of terrible things when I was young."

"Can't you share it to me?" She pleased and I sighed heavily.

"I learned to kill and betray people at a young age. I will lure them to my den then dump them when I don't need them," aniko. "I even killed my own best friend to have what I want before. I treated him as my own brother, but he chose to betray me. I thought that I finally found someone who can understand me, but the tactic I used to other people backfired to me," dagdag ko. "He also used me to get some information that he can tell his dad because his dad is a policeman and from the start, he knew that I'm involved with illegal transactions, so he befriended me. I told him everything because I trusted him, but not until I discovered the truth. May plano sila na isabotahe ang buong negosyo na pinaghirapan ko at mabulok ako sa kulungan. That's why I ambushed him with his family. Since then, I never heard anything from them anymore, so I assumed that they're gone."

"What's his name?" She asked.

"Santi Mendez," I turned to her, and she stiffened when she heard the name. "You know him?"

"When and where did you meet him?" Tanong niya.

"You're really asking me that? You want to meet him or what? He is dead. Hindi mo na kailangan mamorblema tungkol sa kanya. He's peacefully living below us."

"Just tell me, Zack. I'm not joking with you!" Bulyaw niya.

"Chill, Xsantal," pagpapakalma ko sa kanya. "I met him when we were in high school. We were in the same class back then. I was a complete loner that time, but he approached me. I never treat him nice, but he keeps on pestering me every morning, so I had no choice. I decided to talk to him until we became close then things messed up when I discovered the truth."

"What's the name of the school, Zack?" She questioned again.

"Hindi ba parang nagiging masyado ka nang matanong?"

"Come on. Just tell me so we can end this conversation," she said in a cold tone.

"Blodoves University."

Finally, she kept quiet, but her silence is slowly killing me. I know that something is bothering her. Something is not right, and I confirmed it when she suddenly screamed while pulling her hair like a crazy one. She began to hit me. Bigla ko naman nabitawan ang manibela.

"XSANTAL!"

I felt how the car flipped and the mirror shattered into pieces. I covered my eyes using my hand. Hindi maaaring magkaroon ng diperensya ang mata ko. I tried to cover Xsantal at naramdaman ko na natusok ang kanan kong hita.

I could not really remember the whole thing, but I am glad that the rescue team immediately came and brought us to the hospital. Xsantal fell unconscious and I just held her hand while we are riding the ambulance.

"Can you feel your right leg?" The doctor pinched leg and I shook my head. "We run some tests to confirm your condition, Mr. Conde."

I just nodded. He was about to leave, but I stopped him.

"How is she?" Referring to Xsantal.

"Don't worry. She is fine. She just got some fractures and wounds, but there's nothing to worry about."

I stared the mirror. I have wounds all over my face and I really look like a monster now, but at least Xsantal is safe.

Will she still accept me when she saw my face?

"Is it possible to donate your eyes while still alive for eye transplant?"

"It's impossible. Well, no one would want to donate their eyes while they are still living because it will hamper their visual ability," paliwanag ng doktor. "Although, anyone can be desperate to do so for their loved ones, I don't think circumstances will permit it.
