Irl.

Kurin walked up to the entrance to the trampoline park, his satchel bag slung over his shoulder. He wouldn't admit it but he's ever so slightly nervous. In the group chat there's only three people he's happy to talk around, Aay, Magnus and Riot (and Riot only depends on how annoying she's being at the time). So with no idea whether or not Riot was going to be a pain today and with both Aay and Magnus busy with something (or in Magnus's case "busy" with something, Kurin could tell he was lying about being busy to avoid human interaction) Kurin had no idea what this was gonna be like... A part of him regretted coming but another part of him had told him to "go for it" and so he had. And here he was.

He took in a deep breath then stepped forwards into the building.

Instantly he could hear the group he was meant to be meeting up with.

"Oh yeah! Gotta say I was almost glad when he killed her- I just found her so boring..." Ajit agreed to something that'd previously been said, "Yeah when I first watched it I was all scared she'd be the boring second protag who does nothing but whaddya know? She dies right off the bat, no pun on her killers execution intended, and starts a chain of murders and plot twists!" Noah nodded excitedly, "You've finished the anime right? I can go on to talking about chapter two right?"

"Yep I finished, so sure!"

"Ok cool so-"

"Wynton! That idea is ridiculous!" Lia yelled, "If you ate that you'd throw up for sure!"

Riot nodded beside her "For once I gotta agree with Lia, you really are an idiot."

"Oh COME ON! I'm not THAT stupid!"

Kurin stood still, hesitating as the door closed behind him, contemplating whether or not it was too late to leave already.

"Hey Kurin! You're here!"

Apparently it was.

Kurin looked over in the direction of the one who had called his voice. Dan Kouzo. The red streaked ran over to him waving, then once he reached Kurin, took hold of him by his wrists. "Glad ya made it!" He grinned happily. "Uh thanks..?" It was safe to say Kurin was more than a little surprised about Dan being so happy to see him. "Heyyy that keychain's cool!" Dan looked down at the spherical keychain covered in silver spikes he had clipped to his bag. "Oh, um thanks.."

"Let's go sign in, then we can watch the boring safety video and get started!" Dan released one of Kurin's wrists then pulled him towards the counter with the other.

After signing in and sitting through the safety video (which was made considerably less boring by Noah, Dan and Wynton's constant comments and jokes, Riot's endless sarcasm about everything and Ajit's many questions) everyone went through to the locker/waiting room. Upon seeing the arcade games there, Noah and Ajit ran over to them and started up a two player racing game, Lia got her camera out from somewhere and started filming them, Wynton, Shun and Dan cheered them on while Riot and Emily made quiet conversation in the back.

Kurin reached into his bag and pulled out his book. It was one he'd read multiple times before, a horror book about a house, a name eater, dolls, two mirror world mimes, make believe people, a deadly game and a family torn apart by names. He'd discovered the book a year or two ago when he was looking through the school libary and had ended up being his favourite book. There weren't many copies available online, yet he'd managed to get one, and since getting it he'd read it four, maybe five, times.

He was up to the part where two of the main characters had gotten freaked out in the woods when Shun interupted him. "Hey, what are you reading..?" He asked almost shyly. "Oh, it's just this horror book." He replied, doubting someone like Shun would like horror books.
