Reed stared wide-eyed out the window, completely shock ridden. When a huge thunder rattled everything once again, he jumped and made a quick noise of distress. He had been awake for an hour or so, not wanting to wake Casey up from his much needed slumber, but he stand it any longer.

"Um... Casey," He called out backing away from the window slowly. "Casey... wake up. Please." He said a little louder. "Casey Ariel!" He snapped, yet his voice cracked big time. Finally, did he receive a response.

"Hmm?" The sleepy male mumbled, burying his face into one of his pillows.

"There's... There's a storm. A big storm." Reed said as he stood at the end of the bed. He turned back towards the window, eyes wide. Fear had him voice his thoughts. "Loud thunder. Hu-huge lighting." He mumbled.

Casey opened his eyes just as another series of lightning bolts and earth-shaking thunder begun. And when Reed jumped. Still sleep hazy, he was confused. But as the fearful squeal like noise voiced from the redhead did Casey understand and remember.

He was terrified of storms. Absolutely petrified of them. Reed had a couple of big freakouts when they were in high school together and storms would start out of nowhere.

Casey sat up and crawled to the end of the bed where Reed was standing still. Rubbing his eyes slightly, he wrapped his arms around the redhead's waist and tugged him back onto the bed.

"Come lay down," He mumbled, dragging him to the front of the bed. Casey laid himself down first, opening his legs before tugging on Reed's arm.

Reed looked behind him to Casey and noticed how he was positioned. His cheeks tinted a slight red and he laid down with his head on his lower stomach, shoulders encased by his thighs. He was still tense though, and he flinched as thunder sounded.

"You're okay. Just sleep until it passes," Casey murmured, hand falling into the red curls and massaged his head gently.

"Sorry for waking you." He mumbled, closing his eyes.

"It's fine. I don't mind. Besides its kind of-" Casey quit talking before he could finish, and his hand stalled for a moment before resuming.

"It's is kind of nice." Reed finished for him, a small smile on his lips. This was new. Had way more intent and intimacy than them just angrily fucking around.

"...yeah," Was all Casey said.

They were silent for a while. The sound of them breathing was echoed out by the rain pounding away at everything outside.

"You sleeping?" Casey asked quietly, hand stalling.

Reed shook his head slightly, but it was slow. Like he was close to falling asleep.

"You okay?"

Reed shrugged. "Better, I guess. Your hand feels good."

Casey smiled. "I'm glad you're enjoying it. You comfortable?"

"Yeah. My hip is kind of hurting though. I slammed my car door against it when I was coming here. Didn't feel too great." He laughed slightly.

"Of course you did." Casey laughed, and the action caused his fingers to tighten a little too hard on Reed's hair.

The redhead took a sharp breath, back arching as he tilted his chin upwards to loosen the hold. He looked up at Casey with a glare, grabbing his wrist and yanking it forward.

Casey's body jolted and he was forced to sit up, body curling over Reed's. Their faces were so close.

Usually, this didn't bother either of them. They've made out so many times, yet this was so much more... intimate.

Casey couldn't move. He was frozen still.

Reed took the initiative. Tilting his head further upwards, his soft lips gently planted a singular, slow peck Casey's.

The dark-haired boy's eyes closed and Reed didn't push any further. Only the echo of rain filled in the silence.

"Do it again." It was a whisper, a very quiet one at that.

Reed let a small smile slip. He did it again. And once more after that when he asked too.

"Casey, look at me."

When those sky blue eyes met with his, he raised his hand ran it through his dark hair.

"What are you so afraid of?" His words were very soft, eyes holding nothing but gentleness.

Casey tensed and immediately looked away, laying back down to avoid the question.

Reed frowned and sat up also. He didn't go far, though. In fact, he turned around and crawled forward, sitting on Casey's midriff instead. He leaned down and cupped the blue-eyed male's cheeks, forcing him to look at him.

"It's scary, I understand. I was in your position once, also. Is it your friends? How about your family? Cas-"

"Please stop. I-I don't want to talk about it. Not yet, Reed." He turned his face into his hand and closed his eyes, even planting a barely-there butterfly kiss against his palm.

Reed smiled gently. "Okay. I'll stop."

Once again, they sat in silence for a while. Reed still atop of him, Casey still with his face buried into his hand.

"Why were we such assholes to each other?" Casey asked out of the blue, looking up.

Reed shrugged his shoulders. "I'm not sure... we barely knew each other in grade school. Maybe... Maybe it was just a reason to fuck. 'cause our angry sex is fucking amazing." He said without hesitation.

Casey laughed, hands going up to steady a laughing Reed, too. "I mean, it surely is fucking great. But... do we really need to- Never mind." He had stopped himself yet again.

Reed's laughing quieted down as they got into a more serious conversation. He knew exactly what Casey wanted to ask. Laying down, he squeezed Casey's torso with his strong thighs and connected their chests. Cupping his hand onto his cheek once again, he used his other one to freely play with his hair.

"No, we don't have to, Casey." He smiled. "We don't have to be complete assholes to each other to fuck." He chuckled.

Casey's heartbeat sped up and he stared wide-eyed at Reed. "Kiss me." He said, breathless already.

Reed didn't hesitate. He connected their lips, and he couldn't stop smiling. It was slow. Something they weren't used to. It was gentle and tender. No tongue, just lips. When they both needed to breathe, Reed pulled back so there was just enough room in between them for air.

Casey's eyes stayed closed, thinking, and Reed could tell.

"What's on your mind?" He said after a moment to allow him to think a bit longer.

Casey hesitated. His eyes looked at Reed like a lost puppy.

"Casey, talk to me. Stop holding back so much. Just let yourself feel." Reed murmured.

Casey's lip wobbled, arms trembling. "I don't want to be... fuck buddies anymore."

Reed's heart dropped. "O-Oh, Okay, um... then I guess I'll get off of you-" He took it as him not wanting anything to do with him anymore. But just as he was going to slip off his body, Casey quickly lifted one of his knees, pushing Reed forward once again, and quickly wrapped his arms around his waist.

"Fuck- that's not what I meant, Reed. I want to be more than fuck buddies." He got out quickly.

Reed froze. He sat up, ass to Casey's groin. He put his hands over the ones on his hips and stared. That was, until, a huge smile overtook his features. "More?" He asked again.

Casey nodded. "Y-Yeah more. That's if you want to be. I know I'm not the most open gay person but-" His sentence was cut short as lips smashed to his own. Relief hit him like a truck and he cupped his cheeks deepening it.

"More. I like that idea. And we'll go as slow as you need." Reed whispered against them.

That night, the two stayed in bed until morning. Casey sticking to Reed like glue, mainly because there was still a storm going on. They had closed and locked Casey's bedroom door so when, if, his roommate showed up Casey didn't have to worry at all.
