MIA'S P.O.V 

. I laid on my bed watching the soft white window curtains rise and fall as wind blew slowly in my room . I rolled over with pillow squashed in between my thighs, The sky looked really beautiful with shining stars glimmering here and there as I watch from my window. It was a lazy night , just felt lying on my bed and doing nothing. In a moment my phone rang , I had a quick glance , it was Derreck.

Derreck was my colleague , a sweet and simple guy . He was assigned with me on a couple of projects for the company. I caught a few hints that he might be interested in me. He had been getting me coffee every morning . Bringing me flowers recently and leaving them on my desk and then he would peek to see if I liked them or not. All his gestures were sweet but then he started texting me , he starts the conversation through the things that had to be done at work but ends up asking about my day and other things. I was really not interested in him. The phone kept ringing as I laid back and watched. Then a text came from Derreck, there is someone new in charge of us now! What I just missed a few days at work , and things change drastically ughhhh!

Well how bad it could be . I just couldn't get my head around from Brian , that's why I had skipped a few days, probably to avoid him was the best for me until I get my shit together, I have to somehow.

I heard mom and dad talking and laughing loudly, it must be Amy. She had been with Brian for a couple of days and now she was back. I wanted to start fresh and Amy s happiness really mattered to me. Inside although I was curious to know , how did they spend their time, especially how was Brian. A soft knock came on my door awakening me from my thoughts .

" Heyyy sissy, hows my baby been all this while huh" she said with happiness pouring out of her face , she quickly jumped in my bed and gave me a hug.

" Muahh, so whats up"

" Someone still remembers where her house is , right, or she remembered her sister suddenly" I replied teasing her.

" Oh shut up , I was just catching up with the love of my life" she said smiling and rolling up her eyes.

" Oooh , love huh, I just think you needed some vitamin D , if u know what I mean" I chuckled and winked at her.

" You filthy bitch," she said laughing and throwing pillows at me. We laughed loud.

" Ok , seriously, how was it, spending time with him after so long" I asked out of curiosity.

" Honestly Mia , it was amazing, time with him flies by so fast and look he gave me this teddy charm" she replied shaking her wrist showing off her pandora.

" We stayed out mostly, restaurants , dinner, wine... "

"Wait wait, he didn't want to stay in with you" I asked suddenly realizing what the fuck did I just say.

"No, we did but at times he seemed distracted, maybe workstress , I don't know " she replied.

"Ok you get some sleep now , and by the way I forgot to ask, is Brian looking out for you at work" she asked.

" Of course Amy , what makes you think he wouldn't, He even helps me with my writeups, projects and whatever " I replied .

She smiled and gave me a hug and took off. She seemed so happy. ughh fuck! What did I do with her, my own sister. Avoiding Brian is the new game. I thought that actually I might get involved with work a bit more and maybe go on a few dates with boys who actually want to take me out. This would keep me distracted and help me get back on my track, and its just attraction I had for him not love, it should be easy. I should get my clothes ready for tomorrow or maybe in the morning, I turned off my lights.
