Everyone had gone home except JJ. Back at the Chateau, John B and Stella always let JJ spend the night at their house, no questions asked. The rest of the Pogues all knew about JJ's worrisome home life and never questioned how frequently he stayed at the Chateau instead of his own home. Plus, it meant unlimited sleepovers when they were younger; a time when things simpler. The three of them would build forts with Big John, and tell stories about sunken ships and gold around a bonfire in the Boneyard. 

Stella smiled softly, reminiscing on one of the happiest times in her life. 

"Hey Stell, you should get some rest. There's supposed to be a big hurricane coming later," said John B, shaking his sister from her thoughts. JJ nodded in agreement, plopping down on the couch. He tossed his hat on the coffee table, taking a hit from his Juul. Stella flopped down next to JJ, reaching for his Juul before he slapped her hand away.

"It's only 9 o'clock, dumbass. Last time I checked, the two of you don't choose my bedtime," said Stella, straining to glance at the old clock on the wall. It had a little green fish painted on it, a gift from Heyward to their dad. 

"Anyway, there's gonna be a little...get-to-together...at Dylan's I was planning on going to."

"First off, I'm pretty sure we do make your bedtime, Lala. I'm practically your guardian, given all the time I spend making sure you stay out of trouble," said JJ, smirking down at the brunette.  "And second of all, you're not going. There's a hurricane warning." 

Stella didn't know what irked her more, the stupid nickname or the stupid little grin on JJ's face. He stuck his tongue out at her, his whole face scrunching up. It was kind of cute, to be honest, but she would never admit that in a million years. If she was going purely off of instinct, Stella would have already kissed JJ. However, she did have common sense and decided to turn her attention back to the subject at hand.
