CHAPTER: SIX

Several tubes were attached to their lifeless bodies. Trapped inside of huge cells, filled with a thick, yellowish liquid, their body hung in between; held on by wire connect to their spinal cords. Several more tubes were plug into attachments outside the container. A continuous flow of the yellow liquid going in and out through them.

A tablet, and monitor was attached to each and ever one of the containers. Several workings, wearing white lab coats, with their nationality's flag attached to their right shoulder. Clip board, with printed white sheets, or tablets occupied their hands as they walked around.

The room was dimly lit. Blue UV ray lights being the one source of illumination.

And then the screen changed. Showing the decaying bodies of species of aliens that wouldn't possibly have been recognizable if it wasn't for the small information box at the bottom left corner.

Several different causes of death, and several different races of aliens. None of them which seemed to related apart from the fact that they were possible under observation by the same facility as the one that was show in the shaky, a little blurred video.

"Are... are they conducting experiments on them?" Jin asked in a almost a whisper. Terrified just at the thought. If this was revealed to the  public, it would lead to an intergalactic war. A war that would lead to the destruction of sever planets, including Earth.

And what made everything was worse was the fact that most of the staff members show in the video were humans. And the one trapped inside the containers weren't.

"Is that why the Noveirn's were so scared?" Hoseok asked with a frown, "But then why not give it to the police?"

"Possibly someone from the facility was chasing after them, and hence they gave the chip to the first person they could find. Which in this case, was Yoongi." Namjoon answered. A frown settling on his face as well, "Alright, that's enough. This needs to be shown to the police. I'm taking this and going to the station tomorrow."

"No!" Yoongi blurted out.

"What?" Namjoon asked in disbelief. "Hyung seriously? After all-"

"No wait, see everything." Yoongi cut in, quickly tapping on the next button with the mouse. All of them fell quiet as a digital note appeared on the screen. It was obviously translated using a translator. The gramma was a bit off, and the word placing was rather odd. But it still sent the message across.

Whatever they do, they should not contact the police under any circumstances.

"What?" This time it was Jungkook who asked the question in surprise. "Why-Why?"

"I don't know." Yoongi answered, "And I'm not even sure if we're going to find any answer anytime soon."

"What are we supposed to do now?" Jimin asked.

Yoongi sighed once again, and slumped back into his chair. Rubbing his face out of exhaustion and frustration. "I don't know, Min. I don't know. I don't usually deal with aliens asking me for help only to find out about a some freak science experiments being conducted on them."

Jimin curtly ignored the sarcasm, not wanting to start bickering with the elder at the moment, "Don't you, like, know someone?"

Yoongi sighed once again, and shook his head. "No one."

There was silence in the room for a while. All seven of them were caught up in their thoughts. And while every part of Namjoon was itching to submit all of the pictures, video and note to the police, he still couldn't. Partly because he couldn't just go against his friends, and partly because there something so unsettling terrifying about everything he has seen, and the desperateness in the letter wasn't letting him.

Yoongi had gone through his share of unusual, and sleep stealing situations and this possibly beat every single one of them, apart one. He lolled his head back, staring at the ceiling of Jimin's room as he thought about what to do. Part of him, a small part, wanted to agree with Namjoon and give in everything to the police first thing in the morning. The items in his laptop triggered far more red flags than he'd like. Practically screaming in his ears that it was a terrible idea of keep all of it to themselves. But the rest of him knew better than to succumb to the bubbling anxiety. For all he knew, if he did go to the police, they would just bury the entire thing, and accuse them of the crime.

"I know someone." Jin spoke up. Cutting through the thick silence. The rest six of them snapped their heads at him at once. Starling the eldest a little, but he quickly shrugged it off.

"I know someone, he uh, met my father once. For marketing his product. Something about what he invented." Jin continued, "He is a scientist. But not for a government. It's more a hobby for him. Despite that, he-he knows a lot of things. And he might know just something about this."

"Do you know him? Like enough to ask about something like this?" Namjoon asked.

Jin nodded, abliet a little hesitantly, "A little yes. My dad was intrigued with his work. And even though, the invention never got the clearance for wide scale marketing, he still kept some connections."

"And how do we know he won't out us immediately?" Yoongi inquired.

Jin seemed to think about it for a split second before answered, "We don't have to tell him the truth. We can ask vague questions related to it. And moreover, he's quite a chatter. And if does know something about this, anything, he's bound to talk about it at the slightest hint of it."

"Okay so where does he live?" Hoseok questioned.

"Uh... Busan."

"Busan?" Jimin's ear perked up.

"Yeah. As far as I know, he lives in Busan. But I'll ask my dad for confirmation."

"But how do get to talk to him without suspicion?" Jungkook mumbled. Eyebrows furrowing a little. "I mean if he just randomly call him out of the blue, it's clear as the day, that we're doing something we clearly shouldn't be."

"Oh! I know!" Taehyung chirped.

"What?"

"We could take a trip Busan." He grinned, "And we can visit him during that time."

He waited as the others thought about his plan. His eyes shifting over everyone of the other's face, as he waited for a reply. And finally Namjoon agreed with a sigh.

"Sounds good enough."

"But before everything," He stood up and turned to Yoongi, "What are you planning hyung? What are we supposed to do with all this?"

"Look let's just find out as much as we can about this." The blue haired answered, motioning his hand towards the laptop, "And after that, we can decide whom to trust, and whom to not, yeah?"

"Okay..." The taller trailed away, "But nothing other than this. No other stunts. No other activities that could get us in trouble. No more helping, and unless someone is dying."

Yoongi held his hands up in surrender, "You have my word."

And with that it was decided was going to be done. No one was sure of what they were doing. And some of them constantly reminded that they shouldn't be doing this. But after having all of the files translated, they were already deep enough in the mess to get out of it without consequences.

So, they called their respective parents, while Jimin went downstairs to inform his that his friends would be staying over for the night. And it didn't go past they, that the patrolling outside had been increased. Not by much. And they probably wouldn't even have noticed the increase in patrol rounds if it wasn't for the small anxiety clawing in their chests.

Sleep was hard to come by. Especially with the horrific images they had seen. Something that seemed to have quickly burnt themselves into their memory. But eventually they did. They needed it.

For as long as the peace lasted.

I honest to god don't have the slightest idea about the direction this story is heading. I had plot, but by now, I've completely forgotten about it. *sigh*
