——————————————————Traveling around and cooking for people is what I do, and I enjoy it. Seeing the smiles and the pure sweven-like happiness in children's eyes when I make their favorite food has taken me hostage to this amazing career.
After all, cooking and making dishes is all I've ever known. My childhood wasn't the best, but the way I came out of it reminds me every day that none of it was my fault and I tried my best to get here.
Traveling with Xiangling is the best part, she's my sister. Well, not blood-related but she's as close to me as a sister. And she often helps me with my dishes.
She and I have been traveling around and being called the 'Cooking Twins'. No, we are not called "Twins" because of our appearances. We don't like alike at all. It is because we have the exact same taste in food. Not the same cooking skills though...
I am older than her by 4 years, but we share the 'same kind of personality' you might say.
She took me away from my awful childhood and made it better in every way.
Today, she encouraged me to travel to Mondstadt on my own for a change.
"Why? It always better with you thoughhhhhhh.." I said, giving her my puppy eyes. But this time, it didn't work.
"C'mon, Y/N. You need to go by yourself for once. Don't you wanna see Sara?" She said folding her arms with a playful smile on her face.
"Even if she is one of my best friends, I still want you to come—being lonely is just not my forte," I said before plopping onto the one chair in Restaurant. Swirling my straw in my water as I watched the ice-cubes swirl around the circular object.
"C'moooon! I'm sure you'll meet someone!!" She said as she groans tapping her foot on the floor. "I can't be the only person you hang out with all the time!" She said before she saw how disappointed I was to leave.
She frowned before signing and then turning her frown into a quiescent smile. "How
about—I walk you to Spring-Vale and then you go on your own across the bride to Mondstadt?" She said before leaning her face in front of my short figure that was slouched but soon straightened into a light posture."Hmm... I can agree with that!" I exclaimed as I stood up.
"Alright!" She said as she fist pumped into the air.
"I'll go tell my dad then—" She said as she soon disappeared off into the distance.
I just waited. Staring at nothing. Then, Xiangling walks out with her father.
Her father is holding a backpack which is probably holding tons of ingredients. And knowing him, he put some extra Mora in there too.
"You have enough Mora, right?" He asked.
"Yes, Chef Mao—" I said until he cut me off.
"How many times have I told you to call me dad?" He started before putting the backpack on the table next to me.
"I have taken you in, I am your dad." He said.
I sat there for a second staring at him. "Yes, dad," I said before smiling at Xiangling and our dad.
"That's the spirit! Now you two get going. And tell me if he gets a boyfriend.." Mao said as he tried to only whisper to Xiangling but I hear it too.
"Hey! Dad why would you ask her that?!" I exclaimed with a red face.
He shrugged and scurried back to the front to continue serving customers.
Xiangling laughed and walked ahead.
"LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! Why are you laughing?? And wait for me, you meanie!" I said as I tried my best to catch up to her.
This was going to be a wild ride...
