As I walk with the two, the bickering started to die down as we got closer to a hill not too far away from one of the... um... what are they called again... oh! The um— ... I forgot again...

OH! The Anemo statue of the Seven! I only know this because Katheryne gave us a map—who knew all I needed was a map...hehe...

As we walked, we approached a trail that was leading back to Mondstadt because we had already done one commission. I could only assume that we were going the wrong way for the rest of the commissions. We were just at Starfell Lake... so we should be passing through the Whispering Woods, I guess? I'm not too sure but it doesn't matter.

Stupidity is not my middle name, it's my first.

Just as I was about to pull out the map to check if we were going the right or wrong way, I felt Paimon aggressively hitting my shoulder, causing me to look at her in surprise.

"What?!" I say, alarmed by her sudden movements.

"LOOK! LOOK! THERE IS A DRAGON!!" She exclaims as she forces my chin to look up.

Ouch... it hurt, who knew this flying child could hold so much force in her tiny body?

But low and behold, there was a dragon with all sorts of blues and greens on its body.

I was certain that my face looked the same as Aether and Paimon's.

We watched it as it headed towards the Whispering Woods.

Intrigued I might have been, but I was also appalled because who said I wanted to get eaten by a dragon?

I see Aether start jogging while Paimon floated beside him.

Awe-man... here we go again... another marathon. :,)

It's a good thing Katheryne said she'd give me a backpack that wasn't as heavy-duty...

I run up to the two, seeing them get closer to the area where the dragon went. Sighing at this, I just decide to follow along with the newly deemed (by I, Y/N,) idiotic duo.

I keep looking forward as I finally caught up to them, seeing Aether steal a few glances in my direction. Thank god I can hide a blush.

As we started approaching the woods, I started to get caught up in my thoughts.

'Okay... why are we doing this? Don't know. Should we be this? Don't know. Is this a good idea? Probably not. Are we gonna do it anyway?

...

Yup.'

Then, as I was about to say something, Aether grabbed my arm and dragged me behind a tree along with Paimon.

He signals a 'shhhh' sign towards me and peaks behind the tree we were hiding behind.

I was confused but I decided to look along with him.

There, we see the dragon and a—is that? No wait, that's a human.

I squinted my eyes, trying to get a better look at the scene. The person was talking to the dragon? Are my eyes pulling tricks on me?
How is he so calm? I have so many questions.

"Don't be afraid.." The person said. "It's alright now, I'm back." He added, holding their hands out towards the front of the dragons face.

"Is he talking—to a dragon?" Paimon whispered next to my ear.

"No shit, Sherlock." I said, looking back at her with an unamused face.

Suddenly, Aether's chest and hands were enveloped in a turquoise color—as if it was literally trying to get away from him. This, of course, caused a sound.

The dragon then roared in the poor dudes face. Man—I think I've gone deaf. My eyes closed to protect any small particles that had got blown towards the 3 of us. The impact almost blew me away but the blond grasped my arm before I could.

'What the hell just happened?'
