Jungkook had left his office early. He found himself back at the crime scene. He felt there was something missing. Some clue missing and not a puzzle piece he could let go.

He looked around the living room and for the first time he went into Taehyung's room. One thing he couldn't digest was the fact that the couple had different rooms. He always remembered Tae as the clingy one. During their dating days Tae would never go home but stay in Jungkooks room all day.

"People change with Time" he convinced himself.

He looked in Taehyung's night stand, nothing. He looked into the drawers. He sat on the bed digging into his hair trying to remind him anything that would help him save Taehyung.

He thought of their dating days again. About how messy Taehyung was, how Taehyung loved pancakes, how Taehyung would spend hours dressing up in the bathroom. He remembered Taehyung had told him the best place to hide the expensive makeup was in the bathroom.

"The bathroom " Jungkook shot up. He went into the shared bathroom and looked at the shelves. There were beauty products but nothing suspicious. He moved a couple of things.

He tried to close the shelf when the cream from the top row fell. He carefully kept it back when he saw a small box behind it.

'What is this'

The box was unlocked and he opened it carefully.

It had a dry rose and a broken bracelet with rose studs on it.

Jungkook could not think of any reason why Taehyung would keep that hidden. Taehyung was allergic to rose so he didn't understand the situation.

Nothing made sense to him. Whom did the box belong to? Jungkook made a note of the box and kept it in its place before leaving.

He drove home frustrated and hungry. He was so hungry that he forgot Jimin wasn't going to be home that night. He unlocked Jimin's apartment and saw that the lights were off.

'Ahh I forgot' he was about to leave when he heard the noise of something fall.

"Hello?" He went towards the direction of the sound, Jimin's bedroom.

"Hyung ?" He called out while turning the lights on.

He looked in the bathroom and caught something move behind the curtains.

He pulled out his gun slowly moving towards the curtain. "Who's there?"

He pulled the curtains when he saw more shifting.

"You caught me"

"Taehyung?" He brought down his gun.

"Yeah.. I'm here for you. I figured you would be alone since Jimin is out of town for the night"

"Ah. What were you doing in here though?"

"I was hiding! Wanted to surprise you"

He wasn't convincing enough but Jungkook didn't say anything.

"Come let's eat together" Taehyung pulled Jungkook towards the kitchen. Taehyung had brought takeout too.

"Well it's good I found you here. There was something I wanted to ask" Jungkook spoke as he sat on his chair.

"Yeah? What is it?"

"I stopped by your house and in the bathroom, there was a box... with um a rose?"

"What box?" Taehyung asked trying to think.

"This one" Jungkook showed the photo of the box.

"Oh this? How did you unlock it? I haven't seen what was inside myself!" Taehyung exclaimed.

"So it's not yours? And Um it was unlocked?"

"Oh I always thought it was locked but I never cared to check. It's Jihoon's. His sister asked him to keep it for her"

"Oh? Okay"

"Maybe I should ask her to take it back. I don't know"

"Hmm. Now it makes sense" Jungkook dismissed it. But his conscious told him not to dismiss it just yet.

After dinner, Taehyung left and Jungkook called Jimin.

"Hi Jungkook ah! Did you have dinner?"

"I did actually" Jungkook smiled.

"Ugh I feel so bored. I invited Taehyungie but he said he had to take care of something tonight. The other staff members are already asleep. I'm bored now it's only 10!"

"Taehyung had to take care of something?"

"Is that the only thing you heard?" Jimin asked annoyed. "Anyway yeah. He said that, maybe some pending work. He was complaining about his boss getting impatient or something"

"Hmm"

Once Jimin cut the call, Jungkook went into Jimin's room.

"What was he really doing in here?"
