It Wasn't Me [Taekook/Vkook]

Chapter 6

"Tae, you're finally here! Jimin has been waiting for you.", Namjoon spoke to Taehyung who just arrived.

"Really? Where is he? in my room?"

Namjoon nodded and Tae ran up.

"Jiminie!"

"Tae!"

They hugged for sometime trying to comfort each other.

"I'm so sorry Minnie.. I shouldn't have listened. What was I thinking?" Tae sobbed.

"Its okay Tae, there wasn't much you could do. He didn't like me and didn't -"

"He had no right to ask me that and I actually listened, to avoid arguing.. You were so hurt."

"I was" Jimin sighed.

"I will unblock you right away! Jihoon should have never asked me to do that." Tae spoke as he meddled with his phone.

Jimin smiled.

"I heard you asked for Jungkook?"

"I did. As a matter of fact, I'm coming from his office. Min Yoongi was there too" Tae winked at Jimin.

"Yoongi is dating Hobi hyung. My present crush is dating my ex crush. Fuck my life"

"What? Oh no" Tae sat next to Jimin.

"Yeah whatever. Have they caught the murderer yet?"

"Not yet. I was in interrogation and realised I look so bad in this case"

"You do?"

"I do"

"It's alright Tae. You didn't do it and Jungkook is smart enough to prove that."

"Minnie who do you think did this? Finding the real killer will help me"

"I was meaning to ask you this, Tae. Could it be someone from work? I mean they're all strong"

"Um could be! Or a burglar? But i don't think anything is missing and why would they murder Jihoon alone and run away."

"Yeah" Jimin thought for awhile.

"I told the detectives about my choice to separate from Jihoon."

"YEAH? How did they respond?"

"Better than I expected. But I think that's a part of their job."

"Hmm" Jimin hummed.

Tae sat worried and deep in thought. Jimin observed.

"Let's talk about something else hm? How was it to meet my brother after, you know?" Jimin was curious.

"Ahh it was amazing. He's grown so much. So serious and sweet at the same time, so hot" Tae blushed.

Jimin giggled.

"Is he still dating the Mingyu guy?" Tae asked.

"He doesn't talk about it but they broke up 2 months ago. I wonder what happened, they were so close"

Tae nodded. "It's difficult to date an idol".

"True but I think it was the other way round. Jungkook couldn't make enough time for Mingyu who needed a lot of support"

Tae hummed in agreement.

"Taehyung ah?" Namjoon called for Taehyung.

"I'll be back" Tae left the room.

Jimin didn't waste any time in taking Tae's phone. He went through the phone vigorously searching for something. When he was done, he sighed in relief.

"That's good" he said to himself and carefully placed Tae's phone in it's earlier position.

When he turned towards the door, Jin was looking at him weirdly.

There was a minute of weird silence before Jimin started speaking nervously, "Oh hi Jin hyung".

"Hi Jimin" Jin spoke with arms crossed.

"Is everything alright? You look like you saw a ghost." Jin asked stepping inside the room.

"Ugh nothing I have been wanting to buy a new phone and Tae's phone is so pretty."

"Everything he owns is pretty, just like him" Jin smiled.

Jimin nervously smiled.

"Take it easy, okay?" Jin pat Jimin's back and left the room.

"That was close" Jimin took a deep breath.

"Snacks!" It was Taehyung with a bowl of chips.

"Yay" Jimin squealed.

Yoongi sat on his desk looking at all the things they had so far. It was past their working hours but something didn't sit right with him.

Jungkook was very thorough but Yoongi had to remain neutral as Jungkook might be biased. Jungkook trusted him with this too.

"Something is fishy about this. We're missing a puzzle. The story we have seems simple but doesn't make sense. We need to dig deeper" Yoongi spoke to his secretary who was leaving too.

*Ring Ring*

It was Hobi.

"Hey" Yoongi spoke on the phone.

"Working?"

"Ahhh Yes I'm still working"

"Sorry! I just wanted to drop off your clothes like you asked me too"

"No I'm so so sorry. I lost track of time. It'll take me another 15 mins to be there. Wanna stay the night?"

"Of course doll. I'll buy us some wine then."

"Okay" Yoongi smiled.

"Such a gentleman" Yoongi smiled to himself.
