26. Why?

A Random Night

'Abi.' Shahnoor said in a low as she snuggled more into Hassan's furry neck with her arms around him and Hassan whimpered while rubbing the side of his face against her head affectionately. Murad smiled at his daughter who was really sleepy and tired now.

'Noor?' he said while standing up from the pavement. 'Chaliye beta ab aapko so jana chahiye...............Hassan Abi bhi thak gaye hain.' he said while picking her up and then brushing one hand on Hassan's mane to make him stand up as well.  

Murad and Mehrimah accompanied Hassan till his place and then Murad headed towards harrem. 

They spotted Sumbul Agha and Nigar khalfa on the door only and Murad handed over Shahnoor to Nigar khalfa. 'Shabba khair Baba.' Shahnoor whispered sleepily and Murad kissed her forehead. 

When Nigar Khalfa went away with Shahnoor, Murad said to Sumbul Agha 'Haseki Sultan se kahiyega hum apne hojre mein unka intezaar karienge.' Sumbul Agha smiled teasingly, bowed and left to convey his message to Mehrimah.

Tomorrow is a big day. It's his love's birthday. It will be a busy day for her since Valida will take her to visit certain places where she always takes the birthday person in their family- orphanages, schools, his father's grave and what not. And then there will be this huge celebration. 

Tonight he'll love her endlessly to satisfy his craving for her till.............next night😋. 

And besides...........he has a gift for her which he wants her to wear tomorrow😁.

Mehrimah was singing a lullaby for her triplets and she could see that they were felling sleepy. It was good that they were going to sleep soon because their father has summoned her................. just like he did most of the nights🙈.

Mehrimah was excited because every year, he gifts her a night before her birthday. And every year it's something that Mehrimah never expects.

After few more moments the three of them closed their eyes and Mehrimah knew that they were fast asleep. She got out of the bed and walked till the mirror. Straightening her hair a bit and then applying the fragrance Murad likes the most, she was about to move towards the door but stopped as someone pulled her gown.

Mehrimah turned and looked down to find Mehmed looking up at her. 'Valida hume aapke saath sona hai.' he said with a pout. Mehrimah thought for a moment and then smiled with a nod. She picked him up and walked upto the bed. She laid him first, then lied beside him and then made him sleep. Murad can wait for sometime.

After almost an hour, Mehmed finally slept. Mehrimah carefully got out of the bed and made her way outside.
